MOONDRAGON rebalance

I finally got her and I’ve been testing her out. This is what I think they should take into consideration when rebalancing her :)
Skip til the end if you only want to see my suggestions for her rebalance!

DAMAGE
I’m really satisfied with her damage, she hits decently hard, I think people are overhyping the damage a bit, it’s not out of this world, I really don’t like the fact that most of the damage is in her special 2 and 3, her basic hits don’t do much. I was trying her out in BrutalDLX and she wasn’t doing well at all against Juggernaut and WS, since her damage is all in that sp2…
This however could be useful for nodes where specials are important, but those are fairly easy nodes…
Here’s her sp2 rotation at r3:

And this is her sp3 rotation:

UTILITY
Immunities: She’s got immunity to reversed controls. Apart from that there’s also 30% bleed, poison, degen and power sting resist, up to 80% in her transcendence mode. The good thing about this is that she gains charges fast while inflicted with these effects, so she can ramp up easily, don’t see her taking any biohazard lanes, but she’ll work for Spider-ham nicely, for Maw aswell, even Kindred, since he’s a pain now.
Evade counter: always active in Transcendence, I really don’t know why this champion doesn’t have a slow in her kit, like on her heavy for example. She struggles hard against unstoppable opponents that make her lose her ramp-up and she could really use some more utility…
Unblockable specials

STATS
Her stats are fine, I wish her crit rate was higher though, especially since she’s a crit damage focused champion, she definetly doesn’t crit enough on that sp2…

REBALANCE
In my opinion her kit flows pretty well, it’s very staisfying to play her, but I can’t shake the feeling that Kabam won’t allow her to be a top tier champion. There’s limitations placed upon her everywhere. The damage isn’t high enough for her to warrant an intercept heavy kit and it feels like we’re going backwards. Mantis is the far simpler version of her with more utility, safer kit and more damage. I would expect a more aggressive version of that champion to have more damage and a bigger payoff, but Moondragon doesn’t really have that. They should consider giving her a slow on her heavy, since she needs to stay aggressive and unstoppable opponents are going to mess her up. I would really love to see a crit rate increase aswell, but I’m sure they kept it this low because of the stat focus on the 7 star, where you can enhance it yourself.

Overall I really like the way she pauses her transcendence and with a few tweaks she can actually perform very well and be a top tier skill attacker :)

I just pulled her as a 5 star. Her damage is impressive, comparable to Shang Chi but with more red numbers. Her immunity to reverse controls allows her to counter annoying defenders such as Emma Frost and Knull. However I wish that she had her evade counter in her base kit rather than in Transendence.

I have her at r4, and I feel like her damage is absurd, especially in bgs. She isn't the best, but she's super fun and a solid addition to MCOC

Also, what are you doing with the sp2 rotation? That's a long fight for her

Or you can get 15 mind blasts and launch sp1 to enter transendence then build to sp2 for damage while keeping transendence paused

Or you can intercept or hit block, sp1 isn't worth it for most fights if you intercept frequently or play aggressive

    11 is enough for sp2

Mantis is a better burst champ and will usually beat moon dragon in a BG race but I think moon dragon is the better champ.

Mantis has all her damage in her sp2 and if that doesn’t kill then you need to reramp from scratch. Meanwhile moon dragon can do much larger healthpools and throw multiple massive sp2 before losing her ramp up. Mantis’s tranquillize is great for science champs but against other classes you can’t rely on it. Meanwhile Moon Dragons utility is reliable for any class except (skill champs that shrug her device). I use her as a mojo counter since she can reduce the degen and ramp up from it. Plus being a great evade counter and dealing burst of energy, which is unique for skill champs. I think she’s an underrated champ and didn’t really need a tune up. Even though I would have love to see her even stronger.
