Mantis is great, ends most stuff in one sp2. Do a partial combo and then intercept a few times, do a full light ending combo and then hit into block till at 20 mixed emotions. Build to 2 bars of power, then charge heavy until 10 furies, let 2 hits from the heavy connect then throw sp2, fight over.
The only things she isn't great for are nodes that require you to knock down the opponent to remove protection or similar things because it burns her mixed emotions.

Is she a better rankup than r5ing KP/Fury
May be wrong.. but I had the exact same dilemma last week. I R5’d Fury over Mantis.

@Chuck_Finley yeah it’s definitely a tough choice, Mantis at r2 can just plow through a ton of tanky defenders even if theyre r2 themselves but fury could be a threat on defense. Did you also ascend that fury?

I already had kp r5 ascended, my fury is only r3. I took mantis to r2 as soon as I had the materials.

After Mantis lazy buff.. instead of 'one' mixed emotions from attacking intimidated opponents block.. you get 'two' mixed emotions.. so basically, Mantis has ability to inflict 'Intimidate' (AI becomes more passive and block) you hit their block to gain mixed emotion, which max out @ 20) or 'infuriate' (AI become more aggressive and this is for summoners who are good at intercept.. each intercept will get you 'two' mixed emotions) NOTE: once you get to 20 mixed emotions.. try to get to two bars of power or hope you already have two bars.. hold heavy and opponent will fall asleep 😴 💤 a counter will count down as Mantis gains fury.. more Mixed emotions allow you to easily get to 10 fury (max) and let the heavy hit opponent while they still asleep 😴 .. let it connect for two hits and cancel into sp2 for big big damage.. around 180k to 200k.. if opponent has larger health pool.. just repeat few times until they down..
Mantis is a burst damage champion with no immunity.. so if you use max recoil mastery.. one cycle might be enough to take opponent hp down considerably..
You just won basically every BGs fight unless it's a tank R2 7* or high ranked Sassy, now if you get her to R2 her SP2 can reach to everyone except R2 Sassy I believe
I still remember someone messaged me ingame calling me a modder to kill their r5 Abs in 40secs with a 7* Mantis..lol..she nukes stuff
Yes haha Note this is a 7r2 If you're quick enough you can still kill them even with prowess protection
Damn definitely a better rankup than r5 kp/fury then, might hold off on using the t6cc until i get her
Better than R5 Fury for sure but R5 Kingpin is a better dual threat, I have both R5 Kingpin and 7* Mantis and both put an equal amount of work with Kingpin crushing on offense AND defense

Against 7 stars, won’t KP be critting less taking longer for the fights? What rotation you use? Just get to sp2, bait out their special, and throw sp2 followed by combos?
Also, in your screenshots below, you’re finishing with a lot of health, does she have high block proficiency or something or is it just cause she doesn’t need to block all that much?

So with Kingpin he doesn't normally crit at all just with his base stats, just playing a normal fight doing any combo you want followed by SP2 first and then SP2s or SP1s is enough for him to usually get a kill with full health. For mantis you don't ever need to block that much. You build up charges in the beginning with the infuriate and when the infuriate runs out just put them in the intimidate, by that point you should be 1.5 combos away from an SP2 so either bait a special or just hold block before they heavy and punish it. Hold heavy when nearby them and charge up to SP2 and then kill em. I'll try to record a vid but I stopped playing BGs because I don't like the GC meta
Do mllll then hit opponents block until you get to 20 mixed emotions passives, then get to sp2, parry hold heavy until end of sleep charge and throw sp2 Simple

Don't even need to parry, as soon as you enter heavy charge they start to sleep.
So a quick update, watched a YouTube video on her and started testing here and I like her a lot, she might be my second favorite skull champ to play with after Kingpin
Just brought mine to R2 and am using her in the "7 for 7" challenge.
She was one of my first three 7* (opened all at the same time so let's just say she was my "first") and I was only a fraction more excited about her than you seem to be. I was happy I got her as a 7* because it meant I wouldn't have to invest in multiple iterations of her, but I was uncertain about the character as a whole.
She grew on me very quickly. She ends fights. Full stop. She just deletes things from the game. If you have basic interception skills, she will build on them. If you don't, she will actually help you gain confidence in intercepting. Once you've build some charges by doing short combos and intercepting, do a full combo and then hit into the block until your charges are at 20. If you have enough for a SP2, charge your heavy, wait out the sleep, let her hit once or twice and then throw your special.
The toggle run took me a few fights to get use to, mostly because I kept toggling it on/off when I didn't intend to. She's great, congrats on the pull.

Lots of good content on YouTube about her but you basically build emotions, charge heavy and toss huge sp2s.
The only things she isn't great for are nodes that require you to knock down the opponent to remove protection or similar things because it burns her mixed emotions.

wish she is immune to reverse control thou.

Unfortunately Kingpin is terrible on offense this season with the GC meta so I don't have too many pics of him but these are all wins with Mantis
