Which of these two tech 7* takes the title for Best BGs Defender?

All I’m gonna say is don’t sleep on IMIW, his tankiness can be compared to KM. Autoblock and power gain too.

But Mysterio can be a pain in the buttocks if he gets his sp1 out as he stalls the fight, and can catch you off guard with his heavies. Sp2 can also stall, but most people run Herc that hard counters him. Venom also counters him since armor drain and power drain immunity against techs.

Who do you lose against more? Who do you think has less counters?

    Both have counters, but Mysterio just has such a sluggish playstyle to play against. It was easier during the decay meta when you could just ignore his SP1 damage reflection, but now he's just back to being one of the slowest fights in the game.

    How shuri is tough? Just bait her heavies and block until it, use a miss counter if needed.
    She is quite easy

    If you were referring to general defense (including AW) then its a tougher decision because nodes like crumbling armour make Mysterio a pain to deal with. Technically however, IMIW is more annoying a defender in a no node scenario because Mysterio can be easily played out if you have the luxury of time and no negative nodes forcing you to watch the clock.

    In BGs therefore Mysterio is a pain because if he keeps throwing special 1, you are just parrying and backing until you get an opening. IMIW only gets tough when he autoblocks which is most of the time happening when he is down to his last 20% of health (unless there is a huge PI mismatch). Autoblock counters or large damage champs can just play him out normally. Would choose IMIW over Mysterio as a defender to face 100% of the time.

    He has easy access to heal block which is qiite useful in fights

    I often ban Mysterio for a reason. Or go CGR against him (perma broken Helmet and Power Lock during 5 judgements).
