High paragon and valiant players forget that there are people of other progression levels who actually play the game.
For all of y'all, Kabam released Necropolis like a month ago, and instead of trying to do that everyone trashes on banquet for not having the same rewards that can be bought with units. People just want to buy 7 star rank up gems and 7 star crystals instead of actually playing for them. There's literally no content in this game that needs a roster of straight up 7 star r3s, and Kabam did the right thing by not making Banquet an event for that.
For everyone else, Banquet is great for getting champs, even just in the alliance milestones. Spending around 1k units in an active alliance for a 7 star crystal (that contains all good champs) and an abyss nexus is still great for a lot of people, because not everyone whales out on cyber weekend or july 4th to get whatever champs they're missing.
Community full of big hypocrites. Gets mad when Kabam throws out huge whale events for good rewards. But then get mad when they have to do a difficult piece of content to get those same rewards. Too funny lmao

Probably should try to read more posts and respond less until you grasp what is going on.
"Banquet rewards trash, I'm gonna spend my units on Necropolis"
So those people haven't done Necropolis 100%, which is literally the new piece of content that is designed for high level accounts. People just expect Banquet to have the same rewards as that, because it's obviously easy for unit grinders to amass thousands of units and buy offers instead of doing the difficult content.
And not to mention the rewards in January for Necro completion, what more do y'all srsly want?
7 star r3 gems, titan crystals, champ selectors or wtv for 5k units in the solo milestones?
The event appears to be targeted to a) not distract end game folks away from necro and b) elevate cav/tb out of dated progression titles.
Most of the folks at the far end have been participating in this event for years and years. And look forward to it. It’s odd to have started the year by doing EOP, ending by doing necro, and finding I’ve grown out of the current banquet event by doing so?
Personally, I didn't have any problems with Cyber Week, and frankly most players weren't expecting anything insane, most were looking forward to Banquet. But the amount of backlash for Banquet is far more, even though it's not warranted at all; it's just a bunch of complaining for more and more and more.
With those 480 posts, you must have been around for long, so you can atleast come with a counter-argument, right?
But when Kabam tries to do that, everyone gets mad they cant just spend in Banquet and get the same rewards.
You haven't "grown out of" Banquet, you can still get an abyss nexus and an exclusive 7 star from it. Thing is, because Necro was released, Kabam isn't gonna make Banquet as op for the high level players. You get one thing and lose another, you can't have both, there's gonna be balance.
I’ll invest enough in the event to help some of the smaller accounts in my ally. But, it’s not a good use of my units. And it’s not going to be particularly fun? That’s the problem, this isn’t a joy for me. That’s the complaint. This isn’t about pragmatics or balance? It just won’t be much fun. Not much to argue there.
If they've finished all that, they just need to wait, because they've reached the highest point in the game, and content isn't going to magically appear as they please.
Those players were arguably the ones that would push for ranked rewards but I’m not so sure now.
I’d say people that are used to throw money around like peanuts will still not care but there will be a dip in the usual spending.
Are you some new player who just started playing and thinks Kabam should stop giving meaningful rewards...because the players in the lower progression levels are getting blown over by how fast the game is progressing?
Well how about this ? Kabam sets the pace and the economy for the game. They introduced 7*s in the game even before people had a full team of 5 6* rank 5s. They are the ones rushing it.
And now suddenly they want to pull all the stops because they thought it was going too fast ? Ohh please.
The people who spend money will spend regardless...in the current state of the game...the banquet rewards should have been better no matter what. You got ratioed ...that should already explain enough
There is nothing I can do to make this event relevant to me, no matter how much I might it to be. I can take no positive action to get there, and in fact, all of the positive actions I took prior is what drug me away from it. And all of the actions I took are in fact available to absolutely everyone in the game.
Necro is relevant to anyone who chooses it to be. At this point in the game the only thing anyone needs to get paragon is to finish 8.2. In fact, the banquet event itself will undoubtedly give out enough six star materials to get people what they need to be paragon, aside from completing 8.2. People could quickly get paragon, do a lane of Necro, and get those same rewards from the road to the crypt event. That means people are simply choosing not to engage with that part of the game. And would rather absorb these heightened materials from the banquet event then doing the story content necessary to achieve them.
That is, in fact what’s happening. The upside of the banquet event is that it isn’t progression based, which means it breaks the progression model of awards and over-rewards lower progression titles. I would also point out that this is the last time this will ever happen, as the clear indication is that next year these will be progress gated.
So maybe at the end of the day this really isn’t such a bad thing. MCOC wants endgame players to engage with endgame contents to get rewards. And then leaves the passive award gathering process to groups who actively avoid achieving necessary milestones in the game. Fair enough.
Yes, they did do things to accelerate progression, but they're scaling back. It is their game, but moreover they put out rewards in the thought of easing complainers like you, in the form of Necro and Road to the Crypt. But clearly, that didn't work, because people just expected more and more from Banquet. Players that aren't at Paragon or Valiant levels don't need all their resources and rewards, they're already getting a 7 star which could be huge for them.
Banquet has always been open to all tiers of progression, because almost every other event or sale in the game is progression-locked, and because of Necro releasing close to Banquet, Kabam is pushing high level players to do that instead of Banquet. Don't worry, since all the top level players do is cry and complain for almost every event, I'm sure something is coming soon that will compensate your hurt feelings because of Banquet.
Rewards aren't that good for Paragon and Valiants, I do agree, but maybe there's a middle ground. I think the units is just a bit extra for all the solo milestones, so maybe reducing the unit cost from 10k to more around 3k would be more appropriate. I think that's a decent tradeoff for higher level players, while also benefitting newer players, as it would be more easy to achieve, considering most new players probably haven't grinded arena for units.
Hahahahaha
Thanks I needed this laugh.
