I need advice on starting new alliance

The leader of my current alliance has dropped off the face of the earth and with the exception of one other officer/member, noone else in the crew participates. I wish to start my own alliance but am not sure exactly what I need to do so, such as gold. I don’t want to lose my current officer status. Any suggestions? Thanks.....

    My opinion is don't.

It might be better for you to join an active alliance, and work your way up to be an officer again, A good alliance will appreciate and will eventually promote you if you do good.

You can have an idea how active an alliance is by looking at their log in tiimings.

@Kazinsky4209 so many players hurt their growth in the game by trying to start alliances when they could join an active, daily group with 30 members and 3 battlegroups and advance so much faster. Finding a good alliance was game changing for me. Once you are where you want to be in the game if you still want to start an alliance, try to find a solid core of accomplished players to start it with you. Low alliances with 3-4 players almost never succeed. If your current group is active and your alliance is full you can have Kabam replace your missing leader but that takes time. My advice is find an organized, active group.

DDD is recruiting! Only a few spots open if youre interested. Organized, active daily, always working together to get the alliance rewards.

But regarding your post, yeah starting a new alliance takes a lot of time. To find good, active, communicative players. Getting organized for war and quests. There were days and weeks where I found myself logging in just to recruit on global, going on forums to find members, and getting into the alliance chat on Line just to organize members into BG's and strategize for upcoming wars. Rarely did I have time to actually play the game besides the Alliance war and Alliance quest.

I echo the sentiments of others in this thread. I have led a casual alliance for a few years now after being an officer for a relatively active one when they started.

It's not the easiest thing to do to take a step back and become a free agent. It's not always fun to try to click with new teammates.

But sometimes, it's the right thing to do.

This game basically requires a committed player to find an active alliance. It's just part of it. You realize this, obviously.

But this game doesn't need more alliances that struggle to find committed players. It needs fewer alliances with more committed members.

My best advice: Take a deep breath. Quit the alliance you are in.

Grind a round in the Arena. Look at the alliances of the people you are fighting, note their abbreviations, and look them up. See what their rosters look like.

Then, if they are open, send messages and see who responds -- that tells you all you need to know about who is truly looking for committed players.
