Necro just gave me a 4-5 gem and I’m a little torn on who to use it on. Initially, I was planning to use one on WWBN (who’s still going up) and the other was supposed to be for photon. She still hasn’t come through after a ton of featureds + abyss nexuses, so I’m actually thinking of taking someone else up.

My main focus right now is battlegrounds and the bottom paths in Necro, and the top 3 champs here are the ones I enjoy most. I’m also a pretty good Tigra player and she’s sig 200, so there’s no problems there

The last option is one that I don’t want to have to go for, but if he’s going to help me a lot in the bottom half of Necro, I’ll think about it. I’m fairly skilled with Kate, but I’d consider bringing him for the bottom paths if it’s truly worth it

    I am not skilled with Kate, didn’t take the time to get familiar with her playstyle.

    Also, I gotten a little more reckless after playing the first three paths of necro very careful and cost efficient.

    For the bottom three paths I’ve used Aegon for everything. Just wanted to get Valiant and move on. Eventually still did it without wasting too many revives / units. So, yeah, he will definitely help you exploring this piece of content.

    Which I think, looking at the daily crystals of valiant is worth it. Rank up materials will come much faster now!

    Edit: except Human Torch for Diablo.

    Shuris not that good for bottom path. Kate/aegon are mvp.

    You say you like the top 3 champs the most, so might as well rank them.

    The way I see it, using a rank 5 gem on aegon is a waste especially if you don't want to rank him up. Ranking him up is a big use of resources, which really only saves ~10 revives MAX per path (if you play well). A couple dozen revives are a lot easier to get than a generic 4-5 gem. (apothecary + 22hr events + 4 hr crystals + 1k eq offer is very easy to do). Also, aegon's rank isn't too important. ik some ppl who have done necro with a 5* ascended aegon using 50 or so revives which isn't bad at all.

    As others have said Shuri isn’t key for Necro paths 4-6, and frankly I think you are too good a player to really need Aegon.

    Aegon will give you back the 4-5 gem plus any other rewards of right paths and exploration.
    As for Shuri, I have a 7* r3 and she was mostly at the bench at the right paths.
    Doing paths back to back for exploration gets tiring and at some point you end up bulldoze your way through with Aegon, to save your sanity.
    At my last path I dropped Shuri or any other main champ at all, and build a team solely around Aegon, and it worked fine.
    With the rewards from Necropolis exploration you can take to r5 anyone of the rest options.
