Incursions.. road block annoying node combo...

MoosetiptronicMoosetiptronic Member Posts: 2,160 ★★★★
Only room 7. Havok, with tunnel vision/falter, and Lazarus/need to 100 combo him.

Didn't bother reading it when I started the room, as it was only room 7.... Somewhat expect this in 20+, but 7?

Can't really use any skill, torch, cgr. So just surfer and super skrull with vigilance? Vox is too new...

Or reparry him with an armour champ, until you reach 100 combo.

Unless I've missed something?

It doesn't technically take a 100 combo. When you get him to 0%, it removes a counter and heals him back to 20%. With Herc (or any other high damage dealer) you should be able to get him back to 0% in less than 20 hits. And then it's just a matter of knocking off his counters while beating the **** out of him.
You'll probably need to work around Power Overwhelming by getting him to throw his SP1s though.

True, but not much difference! You need to remove all 5 (20 clean hits, or getting him to 0 health 5 times from and if he hits you, he gains a charge and with tunnel vision (same 2 actions twice in a row and you're faltered) plus concussion, removing those charges, is a challenge.

Now, it's only room 7, so he doesn't have much health (360k), but in a higher room, this would be a real challenge to get past!

(Past him; just interested in the node combo being incredibly challenging, particularly this early and kabam saying they tried to remove close to impossible combos - if he had 1.5m health and 60k attack, that fight is brutal)

I feel like almost any tech champ or even herc would have a field day. Sp1 to prevent miss, and just beat him until he's dead while immortal correct?

My bad. I hadn't noticed the Tunnel Vision. That is a brutal combo for Room 7.

Nope, because herc does not bypass falter after his sp1.

It's reparry, medium light, reparry, medium light until you can special 2. At least at 400k health, it's ok, as one special 2 at low health for havok, removes most charges, as he's "only" regenerating 80k per charge.

If you've taken a few hits, he may be at 7+ charges, which with falter, is possible.

So at 1m+ health, soloing it, without armour up, when each charge regenerates 200k+ health, is a big/ impossible ask!

The nodes feel like omega sentinel is built for this fight.
Start applying a tracking debuff then heal block, the fight is pretty normal, spam sp2 easy W.

What do you mean herc doesn't bypass falter ??
If falter is your concern you can parry LMLM repeat with any champ. Or till sp1 with herc
You don't need an armor up to fight havok, just need to bait heavies and push to sp2.
How's that a road block lol

It's havok. Crits generate unavoidable damage back from plasma discharge, unless you have an armour up buff, which in late rooms will kill you before you knock off 1m+ health.

It's havok. You can't parry havok normally, you have to reparry/parry his light. You can't hit his block, to get him to light attack, due to tunnel vision/falter. In late rooms with 100k attack, you'll die from block damage way before you can do this.

It's falter. Herc sp1 does not bypass falter.

Anyway, I'm talking late rooms. with 100k+ attack, 1m+ health, you can't take the hits, to reparry, without dying from block damage and your can't burst him down with sp2 to remove the Lazarus charges.

@captain_rogers, I've never tried her for falter, but if she does deal with it, she would be possibly the only solution for a high health, high attack havok with this combo?

Anyway, finished and 7* Angela from the incursion crystal, so relatively happy compared to my Ronin the first time around!

She won't be the only solution, but she might be the only champ who handle miss, healblock, high health, havok's annoying abilities altogether. But at incursions with hacks you don't need to handle everything. As others said, herc can handle miss and plasma with his immortality, you can fight off the high health with hacks.
Incursions are the last place to except for a perfect counter. Just end up smashing with whoever you have.

Also angela is solid, She's my 2nd most wanted in that crystal.

Sounds easy for Herc if you have the right hacks. Defense Cascade + Toxic Advance + 50% stun duration takes most things down.

Intercept Ml and repeat until you can use a Sp1 will handle the falter. Toxic Advance would solve the plasma too. Ironically, Power Overwhelming looks like the most annoying part

Yes Hercules sp1 counter falter after a sp1 Hercules can’t miss u need to read op one Hercules a bit more then

    Why not just warlock him?

Parry, Medium, Heavy. You'll be able to stop his revival regen with the heal block.
  • MoosetiptronicMoosetiptronic Member Posts: 2,160 ★★★★
I just herc'd him with an sp2, was more interested in that combo being brutal and a potential road block at higher levels, given it's havok.

I've reached room 25 4 times, so pretty familiar with nasty node /champ combinations, just not seen one as punishing as this, this low.
  • MarvelNoobMarvelNoob Member Posts: 1,191 ★★★★
Herc does bypass falter with his true sense......and by just doing a beatdown while immortal and spamming sp1 it's totally a double fight.

Also with despair any hack that applies debuffs mitigates the regen
  • UnobtainiumClawsUnobtainiumClaws Member Posts: 206 ★★
Not that bad of a fight if your main was Angela. She can parry non contact hits so no need to reparry. Parry medium heavy, repeat. Use sp1 to keep armor on her and free regen from plasma debuffs.
I prefer Angela and Aegon over Hercules for Incursion.
