Can we get OG Charles Xavier and Jean Grey from the 90's X-Men?

Many of us grew up watching the X-Men of the 90's cartoons, and reading the comics. I think they would be a nice nostalgic addition, especially since X-Men '97 is in the making, and would complete the current X-Men team in the game.

The alternate Earth 616 Prof X that we have is ok, but it's kind of a jump to have him and not one of the original Prof X's. Plus he looks like he crash landed onto Earth 😅😭🤷🏾

Same for Jean Grey. We have Phoenix, but not either one of the original Jean Grey's she possessed.

If designing Prof X's hover chair is in question, I think it would be easy to design it. It can be made smaller to fit the game, and have the same hover mechanics as MODOK's.

Jean Grey is a telepath. She can project physchic blasts like Moondragon, Emma Frost, etc.

So again, at some point, can we get these "original", nostalgic champs added?

I don't want a "dude in a hover chair". I want one of the most powerful, iconic, OG telepaths that existed in the X-Men of the 90's comics. He just happens to be in a hover chair.

As a wheelchair user, I would unironically love a classic Xavier champ that just rolls around in an ordinary wheelchair and dominates the Contest. That would be so dope. I'd be really curious how Kabam would portray a disabled person. There are some disabled champions already in the game (the Daredevils, Aegon, Misty Knight, Winter Soldier), but they're all like, "Hey, you lost your limb or sight - here, have a biotic arm or super-senses so that the disability is barely noticeable!" It would be interesting to have a champion who is noticeably disabled, while simultaneously crazy strong in other areas.

For that reason, I'm not too into the whole hoverchair idea, especially since we already have an Xavier who's not in a proper wheelchair. I'm not directly opposed to it, though. If they want to make a third Xavier and have him in a hoverchair, fine by me.

As for OG Jean Grey, heck yeah! I've wanted her for ages.

Gotta have at least one of the OG's before you jump to the present day one's. Without the original characters, the present day one's wouldn't exist.

I'd like a Jean Grey.

We have Phoenix, but neither one of the original Jean Grey's whom the Phoenix possessed.

Oh, I'm not hating on you or anyone else who likes that version of him. I'm sure he'd be a cool addition (and I'll fight anyone who says hoverchairs aren't cool, because they are objectively the coolest chairs. If I could trade in my wheelchair for a hoverchair, I'd do so in a heartbeat).

Nah, I just have a different preference, partly because of my current circumstance but also because I somehow managed to dodge the animated series as a kid and therefore don't have any real attachment to it or its creative choices. To me, Xavier has always been an old man in a regular wheelchair.

Exactly, so how is her power combat applicable? She only ever uses her power for stealth and deception. She'll only be a black widow that can change appearance when in mcoc.

Jean Grey from literally ANY era but the 90's cartoon. All she did in that one was fall down and go "Scott!" She'd be weaker than the Phoenix we have in game - and that's saying something.

To add to Jean Grey...she's also has telekenesis. That would be an interesting, one of a kind ability.

My friend got me a Marauders print too. I would make my entire apartment his X-Men art but then that would be pretty boring lol.

With X-men 97 coming out in March on Disney+ it will introduce the 90's X-men cartoon to a new generation.

Best part is it picks up, right where it left off in 1996.

What are you even saying?? Her 90's appearance and powers are what I'm asking for, but her other looks are fine and will work too. Her combat style won't be falling down. It will be modified to fit a combat game. 😂

I'm wondering the same. She was just a shape-shifter. She could copy thier image, but not their abilities. That won't do anything for the game lol. Unless Kabam re-designs her to where she could maybe buff steal from whoever she's fighting against?
