Literally pulled this, just after the new champs was added to the basic pool, i would assume R N G.
Has this ever happen to you? Do you think kabam did this on purpose?

I also seen someone pull double spider gwen from 2 stark crystals.

kabam says all champs have the same chance to be pulled in each crystal. so its possible for this to happen. you just got lucky in this case. Angela is a good champ and you get 6* shards

I occasionally play roulette at a casino and it's amazing how often the same number comes out 2/3/4 times in a row.

I know there's more champions than numbers on a roulette table but this is how random works...

    pretty unlikely!
That looks like the answer for pulling a specific champion twice. For a random champion it’s 1/78

When you consider the entire player base it is quite likely. Even if every person who has liked the Facebook page opened 2 5* crystals that means that of the 850,000 people about 140 people will pull back to back Angela. So Op is one of those people. Where are the other 139?

    Actually the odds are 2.5%.

Not impossible. And i recently did the same thing, with the same champ. Not complaining, was capped n t2a and she's a good r4 choice.

Well yeah, that’s what the question is. “What are the odds of pulling back to back champions” why are you correcting him for answering OPs question?

Since the first champion is random the only factor is the chance to pull that champion again.

*The question was to pull a champion twice, not pull a specific champion twice.

What are the odds of getting snakeyes when playing craps? 1/6? No. While individually, each die has a 1/6 chance of being a 1, the odds of getting 2 1s in 2 rolls is not 1/6.

You can't judge it as independent events. The premise is based on getting one specific champ twice in 2 tries. Just like rolling 2 die.

Just to clarify. Are you saying that the odds to get, from 2 crystals, Angela twice are 1 in 78?

I’m saying the chance to get the same champion twice is 1/78. The chance to get a specific champion twice is higher of course.

how did you calculate that? interested to know

The wrong way, 1/6k is actually correct.

You'd have a 2.5% chance to pull once Angela in 2 crystals, not 2 Angela!

Ok I misunderstood your wording in your first post

Either it happens, or it doesn't. 1 out of 2 possibilities.

    So 50% chance.

That's exactly the same odd of pulling any 2 champions back to back.
    Spidey + Voodoo
    Iron Man + Groot
    Carnage + Magik
    Widow + Widow...

I mean, once you have pulled Angela once, you have the same odds to put another Angela than any other specific champion.

im talking about getting the champ and then pulling exact same champ twice, thats like
saying i NEEED to roll the dice on 2 and also roll it again to get 2.

By that logic there’s a 50% chance I shoot porridge from my nipples

    Is that your SP3?

There's multiple scenarios that people are talking about so let's break them all down:

Let's say you have 2 crystals

Before you open either, you predict the outcome (this could be 2 random or 2 the same). The odds for this prediction is (1/78)x(1/78).

You open 1 crystal and pull Angela, you now want to predict the next outcome (this could be 1 random or another Angela). The odds for this prediction is 1/78.

Once you have already opened a crystal, the chances to the pull the same champion again is the same as any other champion.

ive done it twice first with IP (my first 5* dupe) and later with gambit
  • Nexus_UY_ScutiNexus_UY_Scuti Member Posts: 480 ★★
In all seriousness, the odds for pulling one particular champ twice in a row is 1/78 x 1/78.

However, since the question did not specify which champ, the chances are increased by a factor of 78 (two luke cages, two iceman, two angela, etc etc).

    So, the chances is 1.2%.

Consider yourself lucky. The oddest thing to happen to me was from premiums. I opened three and duped all three of my Storms 2* 3* 4*.

Yeah, it’s great when you use my 5* variant and there’s the little slow motion part. Inspirational.
