Just pulled him as 6*.
I have enough resources to bring him to r5, unlock him, and ascend him.
But is he really that good???
Any tips on how to use him or which synergies are worth it?

He’s a solid defender, but there are attack options that makes him look meh…like Havok…vs Havok he’s like most mystic champs VS Torchy.
And obviously he has counters. I’ve never had anyone draft their havok against my onslaught (barely any people have him in their deck in the first place) and he usually cooks enough for me to win even against his better matchups because one tiny mistake and you’re cooked
Tips to help his playstyle:
1.Use his heavy whenever possible to pause his DOT effects, you want to learn how to heavy when they aren’t stunned by a debuff, so punish heavies or specials with your own heavy, or at the very least use the striker stun into heavy.
2. His big damage comes from the sp2 degen. So build up some nueroshocks from sp1 or basics attacks and then use his sp2 to melt them. He applies nueroshocks very quickly if he’s suffering from incinerate or shock, so nodes or champs that apply those effects super charge him.
3. The Degen on his sp2 expire very quickly unless paused, so be sure to heavy cancel into your sp2. That gives you the 10 second pause, after that just keep those degens paused and they melt the defender.
Tips to sneak in heavies:
The first hit is the one that’s pauses the DOT, if you miss that but still get the second hit, it won’t count.
You can bait out their heavy holding your block, dex their heavy and use your own heavy since it has insane range.
Lastly you can stun them with parry and charge your heavy releasing it as the stun expires, this will trigger the long pause but it’s more risky. Never try it when they have a bar of power though, otherwise they might throw a special as soon as the stun wears off.

I could make so many ridiculous comparisons like this one too, with any defender, they all have counters.

I could show my hulkling rinsing onslaught too, but that isn't the point, whatsoever.
He asked if he's that good that he should take him up, not how and who to counter him.
