AW Node 20 and Wiccan

There is an interaction I don't understand. When I use Wiccan against my opponent on this node and trigger neutralize with MLLLL, once a buff is prevented and converted into incinerate, I often (but not always) get 99 incinerates and the opponent melts. This seems to happen most of the time but not always. I cannot figure out what is the interaction that can cause this. Anyone knows what is going on?

If Power Draw grants the defender a power gain buff, then it totally makes sense. But it is supposed to grant the attacker the power gain buff right?

Neutralize decreases the ability accuracy of buff on both the champ (hopefully my wordings are correct). You can try Wiccan against Man thing. Whenever man thing will try to apply his pustule buffs on you, he will get incinerated (if neutralize is applied to the man thing).

I thought neurtralize only works against the opponents? That would seem very strange to neutralize yourself

The node applying buffs on you counts as the opponent ability, like for every node, so neutralize stops buff on you.

Imagine it’s like Ebony Maw’s SP1. It’s his ability, but the fury buff is applied to the opponent. Same deal with doctor voodoo or mojo
