I recently became diamond 3 in s18 all to lose it in the next season
And no compensation makes me sad

That’s the bugged part. The shards are the compensation for that bug.

It is obviously not a compensation if you have to grind for it. A lot of people won't reach Diamond 1 but were still affected by the bug.
