Why?

Each time a new event appears now we have to enter the event to clear the little red dot from our screen EVEN WHEN THERE"S NOTHING TO CLAIM!?!?!?!

So many unnecessary taps in this game as it is. And the new UI is still awful, this doesn't help. It makes it worse......
