Nick staying at full health after LMD gone in GC?

Just had a weird interaction inGC of BG’s. I was fighting against NF and got through his first life. The liquid courage debuff symbol was up, but he wasn’t taking any damage.
I was using weapon X.
Anyone else seen this?
Seems like a weird crit me with your best shot interaction?
I couldn’t get my video recorded…not a big deal, just weird.

He only takes damage from crits, like everyone else in gc. So he gets 2 full lives as a defender.

When they say no damage other than crits, they mean no damage other than crits

Because of crit me anything where only certain source of damage can do damage will make other sources take 0 or 90% if protection nodes or nodes states like a shock node where it has 90% unless a shock do u bleed only bleeds damage etc

The node actually says something like hits that are not critical do 100 percent less damage so I don't know why dot doesn't work but anyway

Thanks, I get it, but it just seems really weird. Guess I’ll keep placing him as a defender….😂

It is weird wording for the node. It really should say "Defender takes 100% less damage from all sources except hits that are critical", but we can't have it all.

Before that, he's "lol he's killing himself" defender.

Nick and Doom in defense are godly in this meta. Fight a Nick with basically 200% hp and good luck dealing damage to Doom with that fat crit res.

Doom Ai is definitely changed. I'm pretty sure. He is one of those champs who is aggressive mostly, but this meta he is ultra passive.

Everyone's been super passive. Defenders just turtle up in the corner for 1/3 of the match
