Simplifying side quest

I miss the old style of side quest. I feel like these days you have to research outside of the game to figure out how they work. They often have limited entries so you can't just go in swinging and figure it out by trial and error. RichTheMan put it perfectly with "do this to get that. Then do that to get this. Then use this to do that."

I enjoy watching videos and scrolling the forums. However, the side quest lately feel like a research assignment. The game is grinding enough already to then have us have to spend time trying to figure out the quest instructions.

I feel like the new design was more innovative rather than the same thing every month, that was hella boring, this was quite fun imo.

Well you're going to enjoy the next 2 months of SQ then.

Every time we complain enough about side quest being unnecessarily convoluted, they acknowledge it and say it'll get better. Which it does. For about a month or two then it goes right back to what it was. It's a losing battle at this point.

Would you rather have the same boring side quest format every month though? Innovation always comes at a price, and you'll always need time to figure out how new, more interestings things work. That's just the way it is

I would prefer to think less about side quests in general, so yes, boring and repetitive over frustrating and convoluted. At least until they put a design team on it that can strike a balance between novelty and complexity.

It should be a quest. On the side. Hence the name Side Quest. Why is there entries and objectives? Just realease one quest per week and you ahve to explore them all.

Side quests have been so unnecessarily confusing and convoluted that I haven’t done them for almost a year now. No one wants to read an encyclopedia of objectives and requirements & deal with a whole bunch of new currencies that will be useless in 30 days. It used to be, join side quest , fight bad guys , get rewards.

Except they aren’t innovative or interesting IMHO , just overly elaborate and time consuming.

The most annoying thing is that the "Side" quests give better rewards than "Event" quests for comparable levels (and it's still too low)
