Question about RAIDS Glory Rewards (Day 1 Participation?)

If you cannot join RAIDS on day 1, due to a champ being lock in AW D, will you still qualify for glory rewards from RAIDS?

I recall way way back our leader joined late in the week and said he never got glory, assuming the "you must join day 1 to participate" statement at the bottom.

Has any of this changed, or was it ever the case? Can anyone clarify?
