I suffered through the mutant one because I thought Stryfe would be a good idea but aside from that it's fun so far
I was debating on Stryfe (I'd need to R2) or a Sinister/Apoc mix, but MSD's double Onslaught, double Wag, Prof X team seemed pretty effective. Good thing is I still have a saga 1-2 that I could use on Prof X.

Stryfe was pure agony. I feel like I must have been doing something wrong but fully ramped stryfe was not it
I've only done MSD's so far (the Dimensional Beings one). Wrong challenge to do when you haven't been in Necropolis for a year with the exception of testing out some champs against Titania every once in a while. I was super rusty and emptied my entire collection of potions and revives, but I got it done.
That's mostly on me, though. I think every fight had a fairly logical counter among the champions you brought, with the exception for Spidey 2099. He was just a pain to get through. His resistances build up like crazy and I've never been good at removing them.
However, it was fun to be back in the Necropolis again. I look forward to some of the other challenges. The Gods/Cul's Chosen one looks like a ton of fun, and I have four of the 10-year anniversary champions at r3 already, so that'll be a lot easier than going at it with mostly 6*s, as I did with MSD's challenge.
The mutant one looks like it'll be a pain since I don't have a good mutant roster. However, I did see someone say that they got through it with mostly Mr. Sinister, so I think that's my best bet. I'll see if I can build a good mutant synergy team around him.
I don't remember what the other challenges are off the top of my head, but I'm happy to finally have something fun to do for the foreseeable future. While I've enjoyed the Autumn of Agony fights, I've otherwise been pretty bored with the game for a couple of months. But now I'm having fun again.
Ok as the title, please share your thoughts about the new carina challenge.
All of them look to be rather easy, besides that full deathless team one. That one looks to be… interesting at the very least. Only time will tell though.
@Ercarret what team did you used for dimensional being challenge?
I took MSD's lead and went with Chavez, Kushala, Fantman, Cosmic Ghost Rider, and Spot (only a synergy champ). All of those were maxed out 6*s except for Chavez, who was an unawakened r2 7*.
Halfway through the mutant path and I did not enjoy it so far. MSD made it look easy using Onslaught. Just could not keep up the charges to make the degeneration count. Started over using Storm and Sinister as my main champs. Revives and potions almost empty. Aegon carried me through last year every path so it sucks now that I can’t use Aegon for the objectives. Having said that this is better than the team creating entirely new set of Everest content and relearn everything.
only doing the carinas challenge path up to diablo cause i have champs i can use ranked up. the other i could do, but i want to save as much revives as possible and do the least possible.
also carina challenges i just ignore unless being forced for getting other content done i.e. deathless

That needs to go to sunspot if u want the deathless piece

What I didn't understand from skimming a couple fights with KT1 and MSD using Onslaught was...they weren't even using sp2 sometimes. They kept alternating heavies and sp1(MSD), or heavies and sp3 (KT1's case). They'd have like 60+ neuros on the opponent an there was never a huge sp2 payoff.

it's not half of the path but the entire one? that sounds even worse

Half path is up to sunspot
Edit: as the challenge is 2 parts for half the run on all the challneges but the full runs half means up to the first portal

MSD seems consistent in his strategy. My takeaway was that we should do sp1 to chalk up neuros at least 20 or more, heavy to punish the special for extended pause then throw sp2 to convert into degen. At least that’s what I can observe MSD was doing most of the time. One risky move that MSD could do the rest of us couldn’t is that he would do 2 hit combo then heavy. Fingers not fast enough.
One & done & I'm not looking forward to it. Only planning on doing Cul/God for the she hulk piece. Long everest content has never, nor will be for me. To me, it's just boring...
Not sure if it was intentional or not, but they did a good job in choosing the pool of champions for the challenges. Last time, one of the biggest complaints is having to rank up champs you won't ever use again without giving rank up resources for rewards. This time the pool has champs a lot of valiant/paragon players have ranked up or won't mind ranking up since they will most likely have uses else where, and it's right after cyberweekend too, plenty of rank up resources around, lol

Yeah for me I probably would skip as well, maybe just do one path for the redundant revives have now

What team where you running? I just did a test run and he looked pretty good Only got 50 of his charges and took around 30%, and that was without throwing a single sp2 Team was apoc, onslaught, prof x, cyclops and r2 stryfe
