Opened a 7* basic and got crossbones
I heard he's good
Does he need awakening?

He doesn't for damage. Watch last Trap video about him. He doesn't need it for most matchups

    He is my favourite champ.

And I enjoy to have him on Sig 200. Nevertheless it is not urgently needed

    He is midbones

He has great damage and a very tougher playstyle

The only thing he gains from his sig ability is a mid-to-high chance to shrug off debuffs which are then converted into fury buffs for him. Urgently needed if you have to deal with a ton of debuffs, utterly pointless if you don't. I don't know where you plan to use him but if I were to ever pull him, I don't think I'd wait for the dupe to rank him up.

One of the things that I think is quite overlooked is that he doesn't crit. Normally, crit'ing a lot is a staple of the Skill class and a lot of nodes and abilities that screw over Skill champs are designed around punishing that very thing. However, he just bypasses that and instead gains fury buffs whenever he would have crit'ed. That's not an unheard of mechanic, but it's typically a Tech ability. Having on a Skill champion is slightly nuts but I love it.

Well, in theory, at least. Still waiting to actually pull him.

But he's got 90% of his kit outside of his awakened ability. It's just that, if you really need him to be able to tackle one specific thing, you ideally want him not just awakened but at a high sig.
