Character's Star is it upgradeable?

So ive been playing th3 game recently but im wondering if its possible to rank up a character's star?

    It is not. You can rank up characters but They will always have the same number of stars

    There are champs from 2 to 7 stars
    So ,you can get a champ from every rarity
