    On the whole, yes. I just managed to unlock the Isophyne dupe with hardly any money spent on the game for the better part of a year, except for that monthly $5 deal where you get 20 units per day. I spent all year saving up for the event and while I agree that the crystals themselves were incredibly disappointing, I feel like I ended up with a ton of great rewards from the various events that those crystals fueled.

    It certainly helped that I had some insane luck with various 7* crystals. The only pulls, out of maybe a dozen, have been OG Black Panther and Black Panther CW. I really like OGBP but getting my third dupe of him isn't what I'm looking for when I open a crystal. Meanwhile, I found BPCW to be incredibly lacklustre after testing him out some. I'm sure he benefits greatly from being awakened but I got severely burnt on him after testing him out unduped, so I had no inclination to spend precious resources on him when I could spend them on better champs.

    However, other than those two pulls, all of my other pulls were either straight first-time bangers, awesome dupes or, at the very least, guilty pleasure champs that I was very happy to have added to my roster. That, plus all of the rank-up resources, made me able to put myself in a great position for completing the remaining Carina's Challenges that dropped recently. That's pretty much what I wanted to see out of the event, so mission accomplished.

    On the whole, yes, but I will stipulate that the unit spend requirements feel excessive, the reward balance should have been tilted more towards the crystals, and that better communication is sorely needed; setting up the biggest spending event of the year and then checking out for a week is wild to me.
