Deathless Sig Stones

So I understand that the Deathless champs are a big part of the game and everyone who has them is super excited.
But not everyone has them, including me, who has been playing for less than a year. I can appreciate the various events and promos surrounding the Deathless, but do Deathless sig stones have to be included as rewards in all content now. People who don't have deathless champs can't use them, and those people are probably the ones who could probably use more helpful rewards in the first place.
Like, I have deathless sig stones from Showcase, from the Daily/Weekly Specials I've purchased, and now it's part of the rewards for making it to GC? That took a lot of effort, and it's kind of a slap in the face (or at least a harsh reminder about how I don't have Deathless champs to use these on). Can there be some kind of way to trade these in for normal sig stones? I have fewer of those than the Deathless ones at this point, lol....
