Lane 9?

I know we’ve been blessed with a great tactic for lane 9 the past few seasons, but with the new tactic AND the new map coming, there should be some discussion.

1) how lame is it that they put Red Hulk in the Titan then they removed the poison-incinerate fights? That was his biggest use in alliance content and it wasn’t close.

2) uhhhh…now what? I might be missing some, so feel free to add, but in terms of tactics defenders with immunity, we basically have these:

Bleed/rupture: no one double immune, and since tactic attackers are mutant/mystic, no shrug or cleanse.

Shock and poison: Diamond Emma if you can keep her in that phase. Only Hulkling, Cassie, Antman, Arcade and Maestro beyond the tactic.

Poison and Coldsnap: Iceman and Diamond Emma within the tactic. Only warlock is straight immune to both of these iirc.

Incinerate-bleed - just Diamond Emma and Iceman again, then you add Colossus.

The search function on here is a drudge to use, but wasn’t there a whole thing about everyone using “backup” on lane 9 and wanting to change how that was handled? Now we’ve backslid to the same place. It’s disappointing.

Spiral can counter that. As long as you have your Fevors up, she won't feel a thing

EDIT: At least the Shocks, Incinerates and Poisons

Good news is, this tactic isn't going to be the biggest issue, but future tactics might be a bit rough. That said, I'm sure Kabam will be selling us knew champs with a focus on these exact immunities in the near future! My suggestion, be prepared to split path 9 with backup and have 2 people tackle different sections.

Also, you forgot Deathless Thanos for Poison and Coldsnap immune. ;)

I don't disagree with the sentiment, 5 new hazard shift nodes is a lot all at once when there are 4 rupture immune champs. But absman+ibom can also do the coldsnap/poison and so can mephisto, just to add other options.

Thanos and sentinel are good counters for coldsnap + poison.

So many of the champs being discussed aren’t available as 7-stars. At this point, we are in tier 3 and most of the defenders (65-70% at least) are 7r3. Some of those defenders will soon be 7r4.

Scorpion, Mephisto, Ibom and Kingpin aren’t especially viable as 6r5 in that context. The scorpion thing is especially a bummer considering there’s also a poison-rupture mini. I had to tackle a r3 Sasquatch there and it wasn’t going to happen.

They also removed the option to older tactics. Very dirty kabam. I could have went with decay and called it a day. But now you can only select coda.

Then there is Dust who’s tactic and bleed poison shock immune.
