Just need some help...

Bullseye is an awesome addition to the Battlerealm.
But one issue I am having is whenever I use his specials and hold block for the slowed down animations... It doesn't work as intended most of the time.
What am I doing wrong?
When do you need to activate (during SP) to get the slowed down animation to effectively maximize his mechanics?

    Activate your special, then when he is about to throw the last projectile, hold down your finger on the screen until he is just about to throw the projectile, then remove your finger. Practice it a lot, and you’ll get it down for sure!
