Is Archangel Meant to Counter Dark Phoenix?

Dark Phoenix is supped to retrigger her buffs as a passive if the buffs fail due to AAR. This works normally when you use neutralise champions because they only affect buff Ability Accuracy.

But if you use Archangel, he will prevent the re-trigger of the passives through his neurotoxins which reduce all Ability Accuracy.

Is this meant to be a work around of her ability or is it a bug.

I tested Quake and she can also prevent the immortality and the SafeGuard. Although the Safe guard will pop up again when she gets Ember charges (?)

Are fallback mechanics ("if this fails, do that") part of the overall ability system (and therefore subject to global AAR like neurotoxins) or are they coded to happen regardless of AAR?

does anyone know where I can find a dark phoenix to duel, I want to test some personal ones.

    AA is chad,
He fails the original buffs and also fails the new buffs because original buffs failed. 😎

So is this the reason why 7* AA doesn’t exist?

I would very much prefer 7* archangel in the hof crystal rather than Apocalypse

    And Kitty too

Fallbacks are also abilities. But generally since they are "fall back due to aar", they themselves aren't susceptible cause that kind of defeats the purpose of the ability in the first place.

But phoenix is different cause we know her "fallback" is targeted at Neutralise which only applies to buffs. So her passives are safe from it.

The question is whether they should be affected by aar in general

Just saw this video by @""Kabam (Osaurus) Rex" . He shows the Archangel interaction. So I guess it's intended.
