Team recommendation for the Ordeal

Kamr05Kamr05 Member Posts: 212

Hello, hoping please to get some advice as to who I should use in Ordeal, and if possible details for which champ to use per defender would be amazing. So far I'm thinking of Onslaught, Serpent, Kushala, and Mr Sinister. Not sure about 5th slot. Also does anyone know a ballpark figure for number of revives? I have 20 L1 and 20 L2 and 4k units saved. Thanks

Thank you for the advice. Would Spiderman or Photon (SP2) be an effective taunt counter to vision?

Onslaught serpent dazzler photon also rank up that hit monkey to get past some fights with nuke damage ( prepare some revives thou ) (。ì _ í。) Used about 40 in total with a team less ideal

Now that I've done the quest I'll just mention who I used for each fight because A LOT of the guides recommend deathless She-hulk or Thanos which I don't have (and suspect 90% of players won't have going into this):

    My team:
    - Onslaught R3 (unduped)
    - Serpent R3 (unduped)
    - Kushala R3 (duped)
    - Mr Sinister R2 (unduped)
    - Spider-Man R1 (duped)

    1. Dr Doom:
Used Onslaught, solo, just avoid blocking/parry. It's a very slow fight so be patient.

    2. Terrax:
Used Kushala SP1 and 2 to melt his health, cost 1 revive because of the rock field damage. Try to be aggressive and keep him between 2-3 bars of power in rock field mode.

    3. Vision:
This fight was the reason I brought in Spiderman, not ideal and a waste of a slot really, but you need taunt because Vision uses his specials in order so the SP3 will kill you. Didn't have a better taunt counter and I saw on a Youtube commend section that Photon's taunt on SP2 doesn't work here, so glad I didn't bring her for this in the end.

    4. MODOK:
Serpent cheese, make use of those lovely unblockable specials. Standard MODOK fight just beware of his unblockable SP1.

    5. Spider-Ham:
Serpent cheese, use one SP1 to get true focus and ignore the evade. Gains a lot of power so be patient and bait his Sp1s.

    6. Weapon X:
Used Mr Sinister classically, solo, just got to make sure to keep Wolverine against the wall before he goes unblockable to give yourself as much time as possible to run out his rage mode (or whatever its called).

    7. Thing:
Sinister cheese, just play carefully around those rock stacks.

    8. Korg:
Mr Sinister was the MVP here, just be careful that Korg will shrug your stuns/parry often and randomly, so give it a second before striking after parrying. Try to knock down regularly to remove the flux 'damage reduction' charges on Korg otherwise you'll be doing no damage. Cost me 3 revives because I was a bit careless.

    9. Dragonman:
This fight was very frustrating, cost me around 6 revives. Used Kushala to try and nullify the power gain and melt his health slowly with incinerates. It's just a game of whether the AI decides to throw specials or not and unfortunately lately this has been a prominent issue (AI just refuses to throw specials, especially in BGs...Kabam).

    10. Black Panther Civil War:
Serpent cheese, BP switches between having regeneration and unblockable at the same time, or evade and unstoppable at the same time, so be careful of the unblockable, and just dance around until the unstoppable/evade goes away.

    11.Nightcrawler:
Serpent cheese, use one SP1 and NC can't evade.

    12. Spidergwen:
Supposed to be a serpent cheese but I messed up and used a revive. Use one sp1 to remove evade.

    13. Domino:
Kushala cheese, just a standard domino fight really but you get a bar of power whenever domino actives a special so the fight goes rather quick.

    14. Mojo:
A character that is immune to buffs will work wonders here, unfortunately I didn't have one so Mojo would put a buff on me and I would die to degen over and over. Used about 5 revives. Sinister was the MVP with his degen damage.

    15. Ibom:
Used 5 revives because I ran out of health potions and was working with little 20% revives so had little health. The poison damage is nasty so be quick to use an SP1 from Mr Sinister to get rid of it.

    16. Apocalypse:
Took 1 revive, used serpent, just a standard Apoc fight really. Try to push him to SP2 as it is easier to evade. Maybe Kushala would have been better because she regens block damage but mine was knocked out already before this fight.

    17. Sasquatch:
I raged so much on this fight. Once you get him to 40% HP he starts to regenerate a tonne. I kept using Kushala for some reason hoping her sig (which reduces regen rate per debuff) would be enough but it definitely wasn't. Nearly gave up thinking I wasted all my time but someone on discord recommended onslaught, and his debuffs (coupled with despair mastery) shut down the regen. I wish I knew this before wasting 10+ revives on Kushala but shows a lack of game knowledge that I will learn from for the future.

    18. Killmonger:
An incredibly slow fight with onslaught, you gain no power so have to keep on baiting specials and hitting KM in openings. Took easily over 300 hits and I died a few times (can't play perfectly for long periods) but have to be patient.

    19. Void:
A serpent/onslaught cheese, make sure to dash back whenever you get a weakness debuff on you and remove any debuffs for every 10 hits in your combo.

    20. Nick Fury:
Can't remember if I used onslaught or sinister here but it was a solo, just a standard NF fight.

    21. Thanos:
Super easy with serpent, just stay back after thanos uses a special attack and wait for the timer on him to expire (one is bleed I can't remember the other). He has (4?) phases based on his health bar, first one nothing happens, second one he can only reach 1 bar of power, third he can only reach 2 bars, and four he slowly gains power up to 3 bars. He is quite passive in the fourth phase so you can hit him against the wall even when he has 3 bars of power but depends how generous the AI feels I suppose. In the fourth phase if he touches you (even in block) you die instantly. Cost me 2 revives.

Overall not a bad quest, less intense than epoch but Sasquatch, dragoman, mojo, korg and ibom were frustrating roadblocks for me. Better game knowledge would have saved me a tonne of resources on Sasquatch. MVP was Serpent for sure. Sinister second, and Onslaught third.

what if I were to use cyclops instead of serpant as I do not have one, would that work cause I have everything else in here, also you know that one of kush's spells acts as a taunt
