Blue Marvel

I honestly and strongly feel the need to buff Blue Marvel. Here’s why:

- I know they said that he was gonna be made for long form content. However, compared to newer science champions, his ramp-up is slow, his payoff is modest, and his utility is limited. Many modern champions (such as Thanos D) enters with 30 charges (with sig). Why not BM?!

His kit is smooth and enjoyable to play, and many players appreciate his clean animations and satisfying heavy attack. However, in today’s meta, effectiveness and versatility matter most when deciding who to rank up. Right now, BM’s dmg package feels incomplete for a Science champion, especially considering his antimatter-based power set in the comics. There is strong justification for improvements such as faster ramping, better power control or suppression and more reliable defensive ability!

Buffing worse champions has historically been one of the most positively received initiatives in the game. His power ceiling is extremely high, and with slight tuning, he could become a relevant/balanced option without being broken. A thoughtful buff would not only satisfy long-time fans but also strengthen the overall health of the champion pool.

Lastly, in the most politest way there are honestly some champs in the game that NO ONE cares for who are absolutely broken! For example:
Nimrod, Jack, Karolina Dean, serpent, count nefaria (I know this list is a little bit biased) but I can tell you that at least 70% of my ally DO NOT CARE about ANY of these champs and never asked for them.

For heaven sakes, someone in the crowd said “Please let it be blue marvel” at Vancouver and I bet he is sitting there smashing his phone in ANGER because of how bad the champ he begged for really is. So, enough being said… PLEASE buff Blue Marvel by at least speeding up his ramp up and maybe even gaining like 3-5 charges per debuff whilst giving him SOMETHING in battlegrounds even if its not 100% defensive.

With respect, I think you're mistaken about no one caring for the champs you mentioned (Nimrod, Jack, Karolina Dean, Serpent, Nef). There are players in the community who are just as passionate about each of these champs as you are about Blue Marvel. Personally, although I don't have him, I'd also like to see Blue Marvel succeed because he's such a cool character. Give it a few months. If enough people are disappointed with Blue Marvel, Kabam will probably take action.

great points but Blue Marvel has his respective uses and he isn’t bad by any means,it reminds me of the era of everyone wanting Leader to be buffed and despite everyone wanting it,Leader didnt get buffed,because he had his respective use in the game which is great and potent heal and power reverse,just like Blue Marvels which is long form.It would be interesting to see a bg addition to boost him but I really don’t think it’s necessary since there are so many more better champs up to the point where he shouldn’t be used in bgs,eg: i really like sorcerer supreme but I know that I could never use her in bgs reliably,in other words it is what it is.

I’ve said in a few different places some of the upgrades I think he needs. They aren’t crazy but would make him more likely to actually be used.

make his miss counter part of his kit instead of only on heavy n steady release. By the time you get to steady release, you will have already needed it
give him a power gain to cycle throw all those specials you need to throw faster to ramp
Replace his weakness with exhaustion so his debuffs are actually useful

While we’re at it, change M’baku’s debuff to rupture so there’s a chance you’ll ever use him instead of Okoye, NF, etc

@DSRGOD123 completely get ur point. He is still great but I don’t think he would be my first choice for ANY kind of fight (unless restrictions are applied).

Here’s what I would change about Blue Marvel:

- Every time a non stun debuff is applied, gains 3 anti matter charges.

When performing a 4 hit combo, heavy to apply a passive stun for 1.5 seconds. This has a cooldown of 5-10 seconds (depending on sig or something)
Increase Blue Marvels Max Anti matter charges to 90
Can enter stable release at 60 charges if he throws special attack or holds block for 1 second.
Whilst in stable release, Blue Marvel:
Gains unstoppable and unblockable passive whilst dashing foward (cooldown 5-10 seconds depending on sig)
Gains Indestructible passive whilst dashing foward (cooldown 30 - 60 seconds depending on sig)
Wither debuff max stacks increase from 2-4 whilst decreasing potency from 20-15% (60% instead of 40%)
Remove tapping mechanic that gets you precisions and instead get precisions based on the amount of overloads your opponent has.
Persistent charge making him immune to buffs

I personally think that even if it’s not all of the above some of these should be put into place as it could potentially make him a slight defender WITHOUT being broken.

I know it is 9 points and I may have went a bit overboard 😂😂😂. But I think that this is what Blue M needs to get the justice he deserves imo.

I’m highly in favor of removing the tapping. Just give him the precision/cruelty he deserves.

I thought about passive stun heavy too, but figured that might be asking a bit much lol.

So you would very much rather they kept him as a long form content exclusive champ even though the last true piece of long form content we got was 8 months ago and we haven’t seen anything since? You want an all time fan favorite character to be a champ you barely use 2-3 times a year instead of one you can use daily? W logic I guess lol

Unless Kabam are gonna do some long form content like every 2-3 months then he should be made into a champ who can be used on a day to day basis. Other science champs take 30-50 seconds. Oh my days, I bet my rank 3 Joe fixit will be faster than him in battlegrounds as he could get 45-55 seconds takedowns. YouTubers have shown that he takes 65-75? AT RANK 4??!! Isn’t this just wrong?

To be honest BM doesn't need a buff, maybe just pre fights that allows faster ramp up, or in BG case he starts with some of the ramp up. I have said this 2 weeks ago and i will say it again here if you don't mind, Ramp up champs should be allowed to start with some of their ramps in BG cause it really doesn't make sense Cull Obsidian of all champs is allowed this but other ramps champs no.

My issue with blue marvel is that his entire kit only works in long form. Making a champ that only works in Everest in this day and age is just stupid, especially when there’s not enough relevant Everest content in the game to justify ever using them. They obviously learned nothing after sentry’s dogsh*t rework. I wanted blue marvel to be good but he just isn’t🥀💔

Exactly, blue marvel has zero offensive nor defensive value in any relevant content, that being bgs and war. I mean you could use him in war but what’s the point when there are better science options that do what he does but infinitely better than him

Asking Kabam to buff a champion before they're even out in the game (maybe some people have gotten him from pre-release bundles, but he's not gone through the Titans yet) will always get a bit of a side-eye from me. I think both we as a community and Kabam as a company can only really tell where he'll land after more people than mostly just the CCP members have had the chance to properly test him out. Maybe the community and Kabam's decision will differ - like they have many times in the past - but I think it's too soon to tell right now.

That being said, it does seem as if he is a ramp-up champion, and it seems as if Kabam has released a bunch of those as of late. I really hope that they keep introducing content for them to actually be viable in. I quite like this new Rampant Evolution AQ thingie that we've got going right now, but it mostly rewards champs that need multiple fights to ramp up rather than champs that need long individual fights to ramp up. My r4 Zemo just took down one of the minibosses on Hard difficulty without even reaching 1/3rd of his ramp, for example. From what I've seen of Blue Marvel, he also seems like a champ that takes quite a while to ramp up but who you then can keep at that high-damage state for an extended period of time. As such, it's possible (but I'm only guessing here since I have no experience with him myself) that he'd face the same problems as Zemo does in Rampant Evolution. But I dunno.

Then you've got the Coliseum, but the "problem" there is that the better your champion does on individual runs, the fewer runs you do with them. So for example, Deathless She-Hulk was fantastic for this most recent Coliseum fight, which meant that I completed those 80 health bars very quickly with her. Now she'll be sitting on the bench until another opportunity comes for me to use her.

That being said, more ramp-up champions and the introduction of Rampant Evolution and Coliseum does seem to indicate that the game is moving in a new direction. I'm all for that. I've missed questing - whether that's in some type of endgame format or just regular Story/EQ - so I'll happily see some type of return to that type of challenge and those types of champions. I just hope that Kabam has enough of those longer forms of content to justify ranking up several longform types of champions.

So in other words, I don't see any reason for Kabam to buff Blue Marvel yet. I just hope that they have enough content in the pipeline to justify/properly utilize his ramp. If they don't, maybe they should look into making some small changes to make him more viable in shorter-form content. But if they've seeded the game with more places to use him properly once he comes out in the Titan, all will be fine and I don't think he needs to be touched. At least not based on what little I've seen of him so far.

The issue here (which you explained yourself) is that there is no content for him to truly shine in currently, that is why he has faced so much criticism and has been horribly received by most players. He will occasionally be good for Coliseum but because Coliseum is tag based that means you won't be using him a whole lot. Rampant Evolution on the other hand is made mostly for your champs who ramp after a fight and get to keep those charges for the rest of the quest (your Hercs, Culls, Apocs, Shathras, Maws, Mojos etc). Blue Marvel's target content is quite literally Necropolis and Epoch type of content, why are we in 2026 okay with them making champs who are for the most part mid for anything that isn't long form content when the last piece of long form content we got was 8 months ago and also faced a ton of criticism due to the restrictions and terrible design. Even if we were getting new long form content every 6 months he would still be a mid champ who barely gets any use out of him, and I can tell you right now it is very unlikely they're going to start giving us endgame long form content every 2-3 months to even justify the need of a strictly long form focused champ.

I just watched Nick’s video trying him out on long form content and he absolutely sucks even for that lol who could’ve seen that one coming.

This is a r4 Blue Marvel doing a 5.7M hp, and he was already a little ramped since this was his second fight hence the 7 cruelties right at the beginning:

DLL thinks he’s really going to convince most of us this is perfectly fine and justifies the fact that he’s useless for everything else? Five minutes to take out a 5.7M hp at r4? To put things into perspective Necropolis hps are around 8M-9M, 6* r5 Kate Bishop does it in around the same time AND with class disadvantage:

THIS is the video that partially made me create this forum. Blue M is so close to being a broken long form content champ. But as soon as he’s felt his damage, that’s it!
You have to spend another minute building up ramp. This means that in a necropolis run where it’s around 9mil, you would have to spend 3-4 minutes ramping up in total which is almost enough time for my rank 3 unawakened onslaught to finish off a hit monkey in necropolis!

I’m glad this forum actually got some love and attention and that there are people who actually care for this as much as I do. And I really hope someone at Kabam (don’t wanna tag anyone) sees this and says “Ok, let’s make a couple of LITTLE tweaks that makes this guy broken!”

I think that a stun chain heavy (like Silk or Chavez or even Doctor Strange) would help his playstyle since he needs to Heavy knock down the opponent a lot to inflict his Overloads. Nick136 and others have shown that his heavy does have enough reach but not in all marchups. Like what OP said in the beginning

I feel like its a little ridiculous to say that we haven't gotten Longform content when we have colliseum both solo and alliance as well as rampant evolution which is almost designed for him. I remember when viv vision came out and everyone said that she wouldnt be good because she was clearly built with battlegrounds in mind and nothing else in her rotation and look where we are now.

Everyone slated wong and post buff america chavez when they released but once the right content came out their value became apparent. Im not saying blue marvel is great right now, I haven't had the chance to play him yet, but this exact argument happens and is disproved tume and time again

You realize Coliseum is tag based right? Which means you're barely going to be using him because of those same tag restrictions, this is like trying to use WoF as an example, the tag restrictions kill any potential argument you can make. You aren't going to be using Blue Marvel more than once for every new Coliseum rotation whether it's solo or alliance. Let's assume for a second they remove tag restrictions tho, why would I use someone who takes 5 minutes to delete 5.7M HP at r4 with no nodes

Imagine getting beat by 6* Zemo as a 7* r4, absolutely pathetic, and trying to say him being useless for BGs is justified when he's not even that crazy for long form content is hilarious.

As for rampant evolution 1. you clearly haven't played that mode because those hps aren't big enough to be considered long form content it's like calling Elder EQ long form content and 2. You're better off with your Culls and Gladiators whose persistent charges actually make a difference.

Wong at r2 does Necropolis fights in 7 mins, Blue Marvel at r4 doing 5.7M with no nodes and starting ramped is pathetic. As for Chavez, I've never used her for long form content unless it was a very specific challenge Necropolis can't remember if there was it's been so long, but if I did use her for long form content that often I'd remember.

I don't see how this argument has been disproven time and time again when's the last time anyone here even used Northstar or Enchantress on attack? Lol it's true we sleep on some champs every once in a while, but sometimes the champ is just bad and this is the case for Blue Marvel. There are already videos of people playing him as efficiently as possible (his kit isn't rocket science unlike some others) and he sucks.

There are 2 big problems with Blue Marvel.
1. He has no additional line in his kit for BG/war scenarios like Cull has. Cull is a ramp up champ that is better in BG’s than he would be without that 3 charge condition.

2. There isn’t a ton of new ramp-up focused content available at the moment. Maybe there will be later this year, perhaps with a new necropolis, epoch, or fortress assault. But all we have right now is rampant evolution and coliseum, which he may not always be the best option for anyways. On top of that, people already have a fair few ramp up centered champs ranked up already, so there isn’t a reason to rank him up outside of enjoyment, that is unless long form content becomes a lot more frequent.

And once again, on EVERY YouTube short I watch on “Top 10 strongest Marvel Characters”, Blue Marvel IS IN THAT LIST. And also he is the ONLY character ON THAT LIST IN THE GAME.

Why is he made bad? Why isn’t he a defender? Why doesn’t he EXCEL at what he does at least like the leader does?!

Also if you think about it, why on earth is Kate bishop much better then Blue Marvel when Blue Marvel’s powers isn’t even from this earth!

If the game was realistically comic accurate in terms of power level, every skill champ in the game, apart from Moondragon and Valkyrie would be useless as they are all street level and would be one shotted by Hulk. Champions like Dormammu and Knull would be at the very top. Onslaught would be impossible to counter by most tech champions.

Therefore, that’s why Blue Marvel is weaker than Kate Bishop in game even though he’s stronger than her in comics
