Difference between Ranked and Unranked BG Matchmaking

I genuinely do not understand the difference. I thought they were doing matchmaking changes, but I do not face any difference in accounts on one vs. the other. Battlegrounds has been a plague on this game since it was introduced, so I'll just go back to ignoring it (as long as they don't put chase pieces in it). I just don't understand why they refuse to address that it is a major frustration for the majority of their player base.

I have never played an unranked match before this season. I only did it this time because of those dumb goblin objectives. My deck is almost entirely r4s, and I encountered a lot of similar accounts in unranked. I assumed this season is an anomaly because of the objectives.

Unranked is based on prestige I don't know why they don't apply on ranked even if similar acc on diff brackets the skill one will win am i right? Then what is the problem in that but kabam makes sure Im fighting against a massive whale.

Because it has been proven in previous iterations of matchmaking that lining up accounts by deck/account size gives smaller accounts the easiest path to rewards. Last time matchmaking was like that, UC accounts were making the circuit with ease and Paragon accounts were struggling. That isn't fair when everyone is after the same rewards.

A neat change to unranked would be to lock it to 2 stars, but allow us to build our decks from a pool of maxed out two stars. It would allow for the grinders to test, newer players to access champs they don't have, and solve the unfun experience of getting rolled by accounts with overpowered decks. It's a free marketing tool for Kabam. Player finds a champ they really like, then they'll be more likely to pick up an offer/crystals to acquire the champ. Same goes for sig levels too. Everyone wins.

Ranked matches are fine as is and work themselves out over the course of the season. Roster size should be rewarded.

If you have a bunch of R4s (or maybe just a few), try dumping 2*, 3*, 4* in your deck and see who you match up with. You won't see a stacked R4 roster on the opponent.

unranked is definitely prestige based, i didnt have a matchup that was +/- 1000 to my prestige

There's been photographic evidence of him getting to GC. There's also been photographic evidence that helped me math out his 18-97 (if my memory is correct) record mid-season a few seasons back. Good times. Sometimes to overcome you simply need overwhelming force.

You are not confused, you are just dumb. You read the number 30 and immediately make a connection between deck size?...

Ladies and gentlemen here is a primary example of why the "No child left behind" educational program was a complete failure.

I just did the unranked matches this season for the gobblin shards lol. So i didnt mind the matchmaking. Is it still "screwed up" in ranked matches…….yes lol but that is what it is lol
