@qwwe What's the best way to utilize his abilities? And is he more of an Attacker or defender in aw

I really like mine for attacking, always tempted not to put him on defence haha. That coldsnap immunity and incineration immunity is really good, makes iceman and Mephisto incredibly easy to beat. To make the most of him, always try to get your sp3 in first. However, only use it when your opponent has 2 or more bars of power. You’ll drain up to 2 bars when you use your first sp3 and if a full 2 bars are drained you get a permanent aura of incineration. That gives you constant power gain and damage over time when you’re close to the opponent. If you haven’t healed, keep using sp2 after that to stack the auras. Unless you want to stop certain buffs from triggering like arc overload for example, in which case use a sp1 to imprison their soul which is basically a long fate seal. It uses a persistent charge to do this and you’ll heal less if you drop to 30% health in that fight. If you do heal in a fight, you can spam sp1 as much as you want to stack up the incinerate. Pretty good if you have DS or ghost rider I think on your team. Increases his incinerate damage (includes aura). If you want a massive heal knock out a few opponents to get up to 6 charges and when you hit 30% you should heal right back up to full with recovery (you can’t be damaged during healing and that includes sp3 attacks which will do nothing at all). His sig allows him to trigger aura when blocking or being hit. Just good for early power gains and more damage etc. His synergy is excellent. I use him with dormammu and DS for increased incinerate damage, reduced energy damage over time by 80% (like limbo) and DS heals 70% more with life steal. Very useful and fun champ to use, not that complicated really when you get used to him.

@MegaSkater67 Damn, pretty thorough there :) hoping I can get dorm,DS, and a GR! Thank you very much.

Yeah it’s a great team if you have mystic dispersion too. All good individuals as well but those are some nice boosts to have.

you should aim for sp3 when the opponent have at list 2 bar of power so mephisto will burn 2 bars and trigger infinity aura..

hes g ood for both attack and defense

I recently pulled him as 4* and took him right to r4. Mostly be using him on attack with BLade for synergy, but his poison immunity, immunity to ability reduction, and soul imprisonment have proven very versatile. For example I run rull suicides, so Elektra is annoying to fight, but Mephisto ignores her passive ability reduction so I can fight her normally with parry. Same for Black Widow or Crossbones. He's also useful against enemies that start the fight with buffs or get them quickly, like Angela, Dr. Voodoo, etc. If you happen to have Morningstar to get a free soul at the start of every fight he's even better.

    Awesome
I R4'd him right away as well. Just pulled a 4* Angela about to R4 her as well.

i've put incinerate on him with hyperion and gwenpool, so part of that statement is false.

It’s not. You can still place incinerate debuffs on him but he takes 0 damage from it. He gains power instead.

He's lots of fun to use and has some cool utility. He's a solid defender but nowhere as good as when he was introduced. There's been lots of counters introduced but if caught without a good counter he can be problematic. My biggest issue with him is his damage output is really low especially against incinerate immune champs. Going against a really stacked iceman or ice Phoenix the fights are ridiculously long. I'm glad I have him but just can't force myself to R4 him.
