The influence of the Grandmaster continues to twist and grow the Battlerealm, producing new and exciting features. It’s time to introduce, the 5-Star Featured Hero Arena!

Starting with the next round of Arenas on February 15th, there will be a new 5-Star Featured Hero Arena! This Arena will allow you to take newly acquired 6-Star Champions alongside your 4 and 5-Star Champions and fight for 6-Star Shards and a 5-Star Featured Hero!

This Arena will allow you to use your 4-Star, 5-Star, and 6-Star Champions to compete to be one of 150 Summoners that will take home the 5-Star Featured Champion.

Let’s Breakdown the Basics

The 5-Star Featured Hero Arena will run on the same schedule as our other Featured Hero Arenas, and will be available to all Summoners at Level 40, or over! There are no Beginner or Intermediate Brackets for this Arena.

This will be your first chance to use 6-Star Champions in Arenas, so here’s what you need to know:

- 6-Star Champions have a cooldown of 12 hours, or 20 units to refresh
- A Base 6-Star Champion will award around 3x the points of a Base 5-Star Champion

The cost to look for a match in this new Arena will be 500 Gold per matchup.

You can earn Rank Rewards after hitting the 1 million point milestone, and earn yourself some 5-Star and 6-Star Shards!

The Top Summoner for Each Arena will also take home the Arena Champion Title, which is also still available in the 4-Star Featured Hero Arena. The Title is the exact same as the one in the 4-Star Featured Hero Arena, and will stack with those. As a reminder, these are the Titles you can earn for Placing 1st in the Arena:

WARBOUND: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena once.
DESTROYER: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 3 times.
LIVING WEAPON: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 5 times.
SUPER SOLDIER: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 10 times.
GOD OF WAR : Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 25 times.
WORLD BREAKER: Earned by placing 1st in a 4-Star or 5 Star Featured Hero Arena 50 times.

The same thing was pointed out for the 4* featured and even 4* basic arenas. It makes a presumption: that the devs *want* to remove the pain of missing the top bracket. But that pain is what drives people to compete as hard as possible for the very top rewards. It is almost certainly not an accident it is there. It is deliberately there. So what's the good reason for removing it? It can't just be that its painful to miss. The devs might actually deliberately want it to be painful to miss. That's why fourth place doesn't just have a smaller medal in the Olympics. I'm pretty sure the pain of coming in fourth in the Olympics is several orders of magnitude higher than missing the 5* featured champ is going to be.

i do feel the top rank with 150 is a little small, but that may change over time, even if its way less then the old (pre 12.0) arena.
but in my opinion the next rank down is worse.
in the featured 4* if you miss the full 4* champ you get 40% of a 'basic' 4* crystal as the reward while in the 5* arena you only get 20%.
what i want to say is, the scaling is off. yes 2k shards is still a good prize, but combining the small feature rank of only 150 with the very big dropoff to 1/5 of a basic we will see the gap between big spenders and the normal player not spending 4+ odins a week for arena alone grow allot faster than today.
putting gmc in the milestones could help there. and i know the arena isnt only for us uncollected, but when kabam started the gmc they did send everyone a gmc if im not mistaken, so there is a precedent of gmc given to players not yet finished with 5.2.
i assume well see a basic 5* arena when killmonger is coming back as a basic and that will help to catch up to the top a little. but i fear the gap might be to big by then.

Please consider integrating t1a and T4B Into milestones
With 12 million as the last milestone it’s gonna be really hard to get T4B and t1a along side this arena. On top of that we’re going to need a significantly larger amount of these resources given the amount of 5* shards we’ll potentially be reaping from this arena. Thank you for your consideration.

Need to at least boost the unit rewards from milestones. Having at least some decent unit gain from the milestones might attract more people from the 4* basic and featured arenas. The way it is now I don't think many will migrate as the grind will be insanely high.

By definition if not many players "migrate" to the 5* featured arena, the grind won't be insanely high to get very good rank rewards.

This falls into the category of "no one goes there any more because it is too crowded."

Oh, yeah I've already checked that box. Anyways back to the topic this 5* featured arena is going to be interesting. Wish milestones were a little bit better with 4* shards instead of pcs but maybe they will adjust in the future.

I’m still deciding whether to go for broke on the 4* featured or 5* featured. Quite like to see how far I get in 5* featured first time, but then I also want to take advantage of possible low cut offs for 4* killmonger. What to do, what to do?

Yeah Unless you are spending theres no chance to get in the top 150, I can recharge my 6*s vs a non-spender and theres no way they can catch up.

Anyone tired of the rat race?

This new arena isn't anything new, the goal posts just got moved again with the introduction of 6*s and now this. These changes are too transparent. Players need the illusion of progress. Slapping a new number on some champs and shifting everything else down isn't fun.

A new addition to the arenas is good. I'm sure a lot are excited for this. But looking at the rewards, I dont think most will be motivated to get into the pool, for the fact that the milestones are meh. Please add more rewards to this, before a lot of people rage over or rage quit this game. TIA

No plans for a 5-Star Basic just yet, but maybe in the future.

You have to consider a 5 star basic arena. Kabam never looks back and learn from its past. We all know these arenas will be the downfall of players because they grind hard just to end up empty handed.

I've seen video evidence that you can average over 70k per round and do over 30 rounds per hour with the right masteries (suicides in particular). That means the twenty million cutoff scores for recent 4* featured champs can be done by top grinders in about ten hours. Not ten hours a day, ten hours period. Someone willing to grind for about five hours a day - which is hard, but doesn't require any superhuman effort - can reach 30 million or more.

It doesn't take 24 hours of gameplay to reach the scores being put up in the 4* arena these days. In fact a bot optimized to run arena 24 hours a day could be putting up 150 million points or more.

Thats my main concern also, they are very rampant in the game.

I think we're overlooking the fact that aside from a handful of 6*s in-game, we're working with the same Rosters we currently have. There will be a marginal increase in Cutoffs, but I don't see it going to astronomical proportions, especially at first.

The top 150 are already, based on the best data we have, scoring between 22 and 25 million minimum now, without much pressure from below. I saw video evidence recently of a player capable of scoring 37 million points in 484 rounds, at a speed of probably over 30 rounds per hour. That's about five hours a day to get 37 million, using refreshes. That's probably at or near the top of what people are scoring now, but clearly that isn't even the highest score that player can put up if they really wanted to.

Also, 6* champions are rare in general, but the very top players have played and spent their way into multiple 6* champions now. I'm sure many top arena grinders have at least three, or will soon. If you are buying refreshes to grind your way to the top, three is all you need.

That’s vergoot and he places number #1 whenever he feels like going for it. When you have 83 5* then yeah it’s a lot easier and he said he uses at least 1-1.5 Odin per arena. Not everyone can do that @DNA3000

1. The number of 5* champions he has makes it cheaper, not faster, given the way he runs arena.
2. "Everyone" doesn't have to equal or even approach his speed. Only 150 people need to. But in the post above I made no claim that everyone can do that or even that the top 150 people can do that. The point is that the post I replied to suggested that scores are unlikely to rise much from 4* featured levels because scoring is limited by roster strength. Verygoot proves that roster strength is not the limiting factor to high scoring, once you reach a certain level.

I was referring to the exaggerations. It will be higher of course.
