Anyone else having problems dodging back?

Past couple days, instead of dodging back, I end up blocking. Most times it doesn't really affect me that much but in modes like AW, it really messes up my fights. Easy answer is my timing is just off but wanted to know for sure. Anyone else experience this?

    I find the angle at which I hold my phone while playing can cause that to happen. it will also sometimes make me parry instead of a medium attack. It’s really frustrating!
