Announcing Event Quest: X-Men: Savage Future

The X-Men need your help! A rampant Sabretooth is tearing across The Battlerealm, attacking anyone in sight. You need to work together with the X-Men and help track him down. But as always, it won’t be a straightforward path and new foes may stand in your way.

ARMED AND DANGEROUS

Three new Champions have entered The Contest. Mutants are different in many ways from other champions as well as eachother, but if there's one thing that remains the same it’s that they’re always running loose. The Sentinels have arrived in the contest with the primary directive to search and destroy. The Sentinel analyzes its opponent and gains benefits from from combatants that use the same tactics in succession. This makes the Sentinel tougher to take down and these bonuses are gained much more quickly against Mutants.

Bishop has also warped into The Contest. Armed with his signature XSE guns, Bishop absorbs energy attacks and can send them back atm an opponent with a punch. He can also alter his own attacks into energy attacks as well giving him the tools he needs to take down his foes.

Lastly, Sabretooth runs amok in The Battlerealm. Sabretooth utilizes a mix of Fury and Regen buffs which make him a tough beast to cage.

Q&A

How long does this quest run for?

This quest will be starting on the 28th of February at ~10:00AM PST and will run until April 4th at 10:00AM PST. Those attempting Legends runs will have until March 14th to 100% explore both Heroic and Master difficulties.

I can’t see some of the rewards under “View Rewards” Are they missing?

No, they’re there! Currently we can’t fit all the rewards in the preview. In Particular, the title on Heroic difficulty cannot be previewed but you will still receive it upon meeting the required criteria.

How do I get the Legends title associated with Master Difficulty?

The Legends title and rewards will be given to the 100 players who 100% explore HEROIC AND MASTER difficulties in this Event Quest the fastest. Just like recent Event Quests, this quest will take advantage of the Time Attack system we’ve put in place for our Monthly Quest Legends Program. This means that the players that completely explore Heroic and Master difficulty the fastest within the first 2 weeks of the event being live will win the title. In addition to this distinction, these first 100 will receive the following rewards:

Actually that’s mot true @CapWW2 maybe in the movies, but many of us view Sentinels as they looked in the 90’s and this model is pretty much perfectly spot on.

Also, just read the first 2 paragraphs. “From” is written twice in a row, and “at” is spelled “atm”

I think he’s referring to the whole post, not just the postscript note about the dialogue. I’m a copy editor with too much free time, so I went ahead and marked up the first paragraphs preceding the Q&A.

1) There should be a comma after “straightforward path,” as the conjunction isn’t connecting two related or dependent parts.

2) “Eachother” is not word, it’s two. Missing space.

3) No comma after “remains the same,” which is needed in “if...then” statements.

4) From is typed twice. This was mentioned already.

5) No comma after “take down,” which is needed for the same reason as in the first item.

6) There’s a typo in “back atm an.” Delete the “m.”

7) There’s a redundant use of “also” and “as well” in the same sentence. Delete “as well.”

8) No comma before “...which make him a tough beast.” Commas are needed before “which” but not “that.”

9) This one is back in the postscript - Summoners are clearly people and should be referred to as “who,” instead of “that.”

For me, the Sentinel color scheme burned into my brain are the Omega Sentinels from X-Men 141 and 142 (Days of Future Past, of course). MCOC Sentinel appears to be an evolution of the Omega.

Sabretooth was still harder in my opinion, but Sentinel is annoying because power burn doesn't work right against him. I used Magik and he still got to SP3.

just finished uncollected 100% about 8 hrs ago and Sentinel boss was way harder than Sabretooth. takes almost no damage ! 72 hits from R4 Magik (5*) took less than 1/2 health.
Luckily someone in my ally recommended medusa . I took my R5 (4*) and that shattered armor made it easy in subsequent runs against the big tanks.

Yeah ive heard that Cosmic champs are the way to go against Sentinel as it cancels alot of his abilities

They didn't have a "brain fart" the Sentinels in Day of Future Past are the Omegas which have a different color scheme. And your own pictures show that the color scheme changed between different Sentinel versions and even honestly different artists.

For most of my prime comic book reading days, from the late seventies to the early nineties, Sentinel color palate shifted around, generally around a purple with adjacent colors either towards red or towards blue. There's nothing particularly weird about the appearance of Sentinel in the game. It is different than other iterations, but still recognizably within the general color variations of different kinds of Sentinels.
