You should seriously consider letting those behind catch up.

It’s not our fault you are so determined to keep those senseless and purposeless 1 hour timers in AQ and AW. Please make this game gamer friendly. wu4m9wrc5est.png

Thought this post was going to be about letting lower level players progress quicker. This just seems a mismanagement of energy by your alliance.

    1 hour timers are ****.

I never understood the timers, who cares if a really active alliance can do AQ or AW in an hour, not like they can do more than a less active alliance that takes 15 hours to do, same points, same amount of AQ and AW..

AQ and AW can be finished in 12 hours if you actually have very good time management. There is absolutely no reason for AQ and AW to have to be stretched out to 24 hours if it can be completed in less time.

Kabam uses 30 minute timers whenever they goof up or do something really stupid. So that means they CAN make it 30 minutes when THEY think it's to the players advantage to do so.

So what's the catch except to make the rest of us have to spend more unnecessary time on what can be done in less?

No offense but this is just poor game design planning and an outright demonstration to make its players suffer more than necessary.

    Right on the mark.

The game is filled with petty stuff that is 100% unnecessary.

Let me start this by saying I wish I was shorter timers. I can understand why they do it though.

The rest of this thread is a counter point to this. If it can be done in 12 hours with time management, then the energy shouldnt be a limitation the way it is. They provide more than enough energy if used even semi correctly.

The model they work off of is the assumption that more face time with the game, leads to more engagement/questing, which can lead to more resources needed/more spending for said resources. Its a decent model from a business perspective. Sucks to deal with as a player.

Timers are in place to keep you logging back in every hour to make your move. It's a hook. once you log back in to make your move, you're more inclined to stay and play more, which encourages more spending. Timers are an industry staple on freemium games.
