Alliance Quest Burnout?

RixobRixob Member Posts: 505 ★★
Hey guys, this week i noticed my battle group and one other in the alliance are having trouble finishing AQ. We 100 all 3 bgs about 90% of the time, but this week has been completely different.

Is it the good weather and people are enjoying life? Is it the staleness of AQ? Idk what it is, but its gonna force us to run map 3 probably and we just got some new members who were looking forward to map 5.

I dont want to be the annoying officer constantly tagging people and making them move, I also cant replace all of these people. That is a lot easier said than done.

Is anyone else experiencing alliance burnout?

We are experiencing something very similar...it is tough. Nice weather is pulling some guys away. Burnout is turning some guys away.

Same going on here. Nice weather + staleness of AQ + overabundance of content = burnout.

You've got dungeons, the Thanos trials, EQ, arena, AW season 2 - AQ just kind of takes a back seat now. Add to the fact that AQ is boring as all hell, even with the symbiod/sentinel switch, as well as Spring (finally) here and this is the result.

    it's dungeons, simple as that

If its burnout, its related to the amount of content, not just AQ.

If its just AQ, its laziness.

I stay in contact with a few alliances and the new feature to see people online has revealed some players online and not taking part in AW/AQ. I don't know if this is a trend finally revealed or the amount of content is overwhelming and distracting, but part of the game is managing your time. I decided dungeons every day weren't worth it, but I'm getting back to it with the revamp of points.

If we have players that can't finish AQ, then we find a new player.

Idk what it is but we are always scrambling to finish the last hour of AQ. Idk, everyone in my bg has full time jobs and kids so i cant just get mad at them for not being on. Its a delicate situation, but i am afraid it is leading to the inevitable demise of my ally

Those are getting harder and harder to find. We used to have our pick of many recruits, now we sort of take whatever we can get and deal with it.

    Totally agree with this ^^^

Depends where you are in the game but if you're trying to push AW then you need AQ if only for glory. AW and AQ go hand in hand.

Dungeons were the tipping point for me. I made it through all the bugs, 12.0, AW season 1, Sentinels etc., but dungeons made me get fed up of the game entirely where I don't enjoy doing anything in the game again, even arena which I loved doing before.

I'm just only logging in to fulfill my AQ and AW tasks and I'm leaving my alliance. It's gonna be nice to see the sunshine for once lol. (I exaggerate of course and maybe all I need is just a break, but I welcome not having to study and stress over a game in the immediate future)

We call in "Dungeon Drag". Seems everyone is exhausted from all their dust collecting that they are too tired to care about AQ.

I thought winter was coming ;) or is that in 2019.........

More OT: The constant pressure of having other people depend on you to take out a certain node was just draining all the fun I had playing this game. So I quit playing AQ (&AW), and I'm stil glad about that decision.

My main advice to OP and anyone else struggling like this. If you don’t have issues meeting requirements find a new alliance. You’re wasting too much effort for others to let you down and not care.

Same situation here and had a few leave due to burnout. We are discussing doing lower maps during seasons until the rewards get refreshed. We hit top 1k last AQ, before we would be in and out of top 1300 and our sister ally isn’t dropping out of expert w/ a 82-85 mil score. Looks like cutoffs are dropping.

My alliance has officially closed shop on AQ... It is not worth the grind anymore. With lots to do & lots to do in real life, AQ has become very boring & the rewards are no longer worth it. No one needs shards anymore. As for Glory, it was promising at the beginning but honestly no one is interested in this anymore either.
