Clarification on arena brackets

Hi all. I would like to ask players and mods for clarification.
I am a new player. Currently in intermediate bracket. Recently I been told by Kabam support that brackets system affects 5 star arena as well. But here's the deal.
When I check leaderboards for the basic and futured 4 star arenas, I see there players whose titles can belong to intermediate bracket players. But when I checked 5 star arena, there are players with titles like "Seasoned Summoner" etc that proves those players play for a long time and therefore can not be in intermidied bracket.
So, was I misinformed by Kabam support that brackets affect 5 star arena ad well ? Because so far it's seems that brackets affect only 4 star arenas.
Please clarify this one.
