Assassin Assignments and Merc Missions Discussion Thread

Summoners!

The Battlerealm is in disarray. Thanos has been defeated, but the Grandmaster has been stripped of his power, and has gone missing! The Contest of Champions has descended into chaos, with many groups fighting for control. Many Champions have found themselves finding work as Mercenaries, using this chaos as a chance to make a quick buck. Amongst them, we find the legendary mutant mercenary, Domino hunting down the biggest and baddest, and she needs your help to bring in the most lucrative of scores!

Domino will have a steady stream of Assassin Assignment quests to Explore, and if you impress her enough on one of those, she may even give you and your whole Alliance a bigger contract: Merc Missions.

Assassin Assignments and Merc Missions start June 6th at 10am Pacific Time, and will be available until July 2nd at 5pm Pacific Time! You must update to version 18.1 to be able to participate in these events.

Why no alpha tier 2 shards? This is what we need. What good is a lot of 5* shards if you cant rank them past rank 3. It takes 4 to rank 4 and 6 for rank 5. We need more ways to get them.

Well, you're going to get a chance to have 4* and 5* shards daily.

You can definitely skip it if you want, but it is really good , if you are say stuck and need the last 200 to pull a 4* / 5* , quick work to get those.

Can you give us events that offer more rewards over a longer timespan?

I'm not sure if you are aware or not but we have lives outside of this game and its a pain in the ass running these quests 2-3 times a day for the peanut amount of shards you're offering. Make a long one thats more difficult and make it run once a week and give us more shards. You'll make money selling potions and you wont burn us out running these pointless misions

13 fights for 150 shards? only if i'm desperate to finish out a crystal. my energy is better spent elsewhere for better rewards.

Yay...random recycled content. Cant wait for this....I think it worked smothly last time. Seriously this game just keeps getting worse and they couldn't care less. Lol.spend that money

yeah but you can give us interesting and new content can't you. recycling old content and giving it a new name is boring.

great jobs though with the dungeons, that's really fun. best content in the game. I found a lot of new people to play with, got a gauge of my skill level. It's fun. but im tired of relying on 29 other people to get rewards. there's enough of that in this game.

Sorry but i found dungeon boring and too demanding not to mention to get 27k of artifacts to walk away with a useless 5* champs no thanks lol

So the 5* can set and wait for tier2 alphas and tier5 basics? We need new ways to get those. Not more champs we cant rank

But.. I guess we can spend big money on wars and expect the rest of the alliance to do the same to get those rewards .and if they dont, who cares if you have played with them forever.. kick them for someone who will spend. Lol

Every 4 hours? Sucks for people who work for a living.... why not remove the 7 hour cool down and increase the duration of the quest instead?

Make these things more ‘Life’ friendly.

You just described AQ, arena and the monthly quests.

Well, those are not quite the same thing. Those are established repeating events, and there will always be aspects of the game that are evergeen. Other side events are constantly changing, bringing something in addition to Alliance Events and Monthly Quests.

Maybe not Arena and AQ, I'll give you that. But the monthly quest is nearly identical every month. Sometimes whoever posts the rewards from Kabam even forgets the change the 3* champ you get from one of the difficulties. My point is, this month's event where it's 3 quick fights is great, fast, rewarding and fun. No need to replace it since people seem to like it out of all the side quests.

I liked the event last time it came around and I’m really glad you fixed the problem where it was reliant of EQ. I would appreciate if this received a better gold income. 1000 seems so low considering deadpool gets paid more to scare teenagers

Here's my feedback. Unlike some in this thread, I think the rewards for this event are pretty decent and while it's not as conveniently designed as the Trials events, it looks like a nice way to get shards and other resources.

That said, I have been playing this game for a little over a year now, except for a six month gap where I quit the game because of the Stark quests. Because they were only available for a limited window and would spawn somewhat randomly, I was autofighting the quests in the middle of dinner, while out with friends, even while in meetings at work. This time around, I will just skip these quests if they get in the way of my real life, but for god's sake you guys, you've got to expect that people will try to maximize the available rewards and maybe you should do your players a favor and not launch these kinds of quests that require people to interrupt what they're doing or plan their daily schedule around a side quest.

I know people will probably respond to me and say "just skip them if you don't have time", but the point is that people shouldn't be put in this position where they have to miss out on rewards because they happened to be in a movie for two hours or something. A few others in the thread have said that the Trials have been a good balance, and I agree, because if you give us a set 24 hours that resets at a specific time, it's much easier to knock them out when we have a free moment in between all the other stuff life throws at us.

These assigments/missions whatever they're called appear to have taken a step back of about 12 months, time limited content never sits well with the player base. How many are actually going to bother with this one the rewards are basically meh and really not worth the time or effort. Sorry Kabam but looks like you've dropped the ball again with this one.

Worst two events ever. 10 times the amount of fights for half the rewards from trials. Throw these events away and run trials more often. The amount of backlash to the announcement of these two events have got to count for something. You should be giving us content we want to play instead of trash.
