$5 and $30 unit offer giving some purchasers 2x initial rewards

Is this a known issue or did the ones who got 2x the "right now" units just get lucky and over compensated for their purchase?

    The 5x Peter Parker wallet was a really nice introductory deal. Don't want to mention how much I've spent since that initial $5 though.

    3 people I know that buy every offer got the 2x on these special offers while others who rarely buy only got 1x. Not sure that is the right answer on this specific deal as they were not first time purchasers in game.

    Any other thoughts on why some are getting 2x the initial rewards on the $5 and $30 daily card offers today? Again these are not first time purchasers in game.
