In game purchases with Google play balance

If I use a Google play gift card to add money on my Google play account balance, could I use part of that balance for in game purchases like units or offers? I have to redeem the gift card code to my account and then that balance will pop up as a payment method when I select a deal to buy? Thanks

    Yes the balance on your google play account will come up and it will ask if you want to use that. If you don't have enough on your google play account for whatever you're trying to purchase you can use all that amount and a second payment for the rest.

    Yeah that's right. If the purchase is more than the gift card value then it will take the remainder off your bank card if you got one attached. But you will see the option just before you confirm purchase
