It really does depend on your definition of "strongest" and that's not just a question of semantics. For example, if I had to construct a five champ team to do some unknown content sight unseen, Blade would definitely be on that team. He's just so useful in so many areas. In general, I might consider him the strongest champ on the team. But if I had to bring *one* champion to face unknown content sight unseen, it wouldn't be Blade, it would be Iceman. Iceman is triple immune, has pretty good damage if you can detonate frostbite, and he has one of the best get out of jail free cards with Ice Armor. If the enemy has evade, I have an answer. If the enemy has too much power gain and I can't keep him from reaching SP3, I can tank that several times. Things like Abomination and Mephisto are no problem.

I tend to think in terms of abilities I want, and then how to put those abilities into a team. The champions are convenient containers for abilities in that respect, and while how each individual champion works by themselves is important (since you can only play one at a time of course), how they work together on a team to carry you through content is equally important. I tend to think "how valuable" not "how powerful" and value depends on the team I'm trying to build as much as it does on the individual champion's capabilities.

My favorites are the amazingly strong 6* champs, like DPX, Iron Fist, Thor Jane Foster... doesn't get any stronger then them.

Question should be which team is the strongest considering synergies could make an above average champ the strongest one. The most popular would be the holy trinity (Blade, SS, GR), the cosmic team (Medusa, BB, Ronan) could be very strong too. And I really like KM + Void + Hulk at the moment, this team is very strong in AW. There are many more interesting teams, combinations if you try them.
