Wins/Loss in AW between Seasons

How do wins/losses in AW that occur in between seasons affect the Tier status of the Alliance?

    They affect rating and therefore potentially the tier and opponents you will face at the beginning of the season.

    If you don’t fire up wars you don’t lose rating however, it’s not like AQ where currently you have to do it weekly or could drop a bracket (brackets are going away in AQ, but currently are still happening)
