1. Increasing minis in war. We started with 3, then they added 2, then they added 5. The increase in minis and placement of minis is a pure money grab.
SUGGESTION: Perhaps put minis on points that will increase difficulty, but not govern completion. Perhaps a path 2 5 and 8 mini where they can be circumvented and you can still get boss. Increased difficulty, but all progress isn't halted and spending isn't forced to compete.
2. Diversity has to stay and there should never be any discussion otherwise. The fun of the defense and strategy of it is part of war. Fighting 5 to 7 different champions over and over again in war is boring.
3. War needs to be fun and challenging, not annoying and stressful. (Point 1 related here) the new minis are way more difficult. It should go boss, strong minis, weak minis. The map should increase in difficulty.
This point goes right back to kabam and communication.
Solution: sample battle groups from alliances to beta test war maps during off season, get feedback, implement week before season to test. Do this every season or every 2 seasons. Keeps war fresh and challenging.
Of course, I'm just going by what I'm seeing so far. The jump in difficulty needs to be gradual, not knee jerk. Not everyone is as skilled or has the champ set as everyone else so the better players might be okay here, but the lesser players or ones without the right champ sets don't have a prayer.
