Removed 5* shards from heroic

I was just wondering why there are no 5* shards as a reward for 100%ing heroic?
Last time we had 1000 5* shards as a reward for 100%ing heroic and this time there are none.
Have the Pym canisters replaced 5* shards?
If I am correct this is the third time the 1000 5* shards have been replaced by some special monthly currency.
Without the 5* shards there really isn't any hype for 100%ing heroic except the master mode key or the title.
Is it possible to put 5* shards and a monthly currency if there us one as the rewards along with the normal 100% heroic rewards?
Does anyone else agree?

    Also it's only replaced visually, you still get the shards

    Yeah well, as you said it's happened before and the mods addressed it too
    Also if you're ever in doubt, check the announcement for the EQ and it'll tell you the full rewards

    Supposedly the rewards are still there even though we dont see them... however, they were gone last
