War penalty can be ethically wrong

Me and my children share one device we were accused of cheating during alliance war. I assume because we use the same device. Should we be punished because we can't afford dirrerent devices. What are your thoughts on the matter.

Did you get your war rating reduced or were you just accused of cheating (i.e. someone in the war room wrote "You're cheating")?

Short answer: No, you shouldn’t be punished. But indeed, was it Kabam doing the blaming or the opposing team?
I can imagine that playing only one device, it would seem like someone playing multiple accounts successively, as in piloting. Tough one.
Maybe moderators can shine a light here.

It's kind of stupid, but believe it or not that is against Kabam's Terms of Service. I have no idea how they would be able to detect that the same device is shared by your kids, but I do know that it is not something they want people doing. So I don't know what to tell you. I completely understand the situation you are in, but this is something that Kabam is pretty adamant against. I am sure a moderator will be on soon to close this thread and tell you that it is against their TOS

Sharing devices is not against the ToS. Only sharing accounts.

To be honest the OP's alliance probably got punished for something other than account sharing.

And to be clear, trying to state that it isn't fair because someone can't afford a second device is a poor argument.

Kabam is providing a free game that requires a device and the acceptance of their terms of service. Why would Kabam allow someone to break their terms of service simply because they couldn't obtain a second device...something that is completely out of Kabam's control?

Ok I may have read that wrong, I was reading that they share one device and was thinking that meant the same account, but I guess the OP didn't specify that. What I meant was that account sharing is against TOS.

So you have one device, and multiple accounts on it. Unless one or more of those accounts were logged in another device, I don't see why that was detected.

Different accounts same device. Cheating usually means you have gained something. lol i shut down the alliance to fix the problem without future debat on the subject. I will no longer lead my children into the battle they will have to find a new team maybe battle their father in war one day.

So the probem is you having all the accounts on the same alliance. Just don't do it and you'll be fine

That doesn't really make sense to punish you for that. Lots of people have multiple accounts on the same device. I think Kabam docked a lot of people willy nilly just to prove a point. I got docked too for traveling. I was logging on in 4 different time zones. It was only me and my device but I got popped and we got docked.

Thanks for all your opinions on the subject. Remember when it comes to terms and conditions they are always subject to change at kabams discretion they have all legal issues covered in these matters.
