Honest Question about the MCOC community and Kabam

First off, Kabam, I appreciate the game and I don’t want to get banned simply for voicing an opinion. This forum was designed to facilitate meaningful dialogue between the manufacturer and the community and that is the intent of this post. I’ve already been warned for a previous post (which I took issue with and received no reply). However, my point here is not to simply criticize Kabam, it’s to address the company and the community in the hope of actual synergy.

Without further ado...

I’ve seen a lot of dissatisfaction amongst the MCOC community due to the overheating and crash issues over the last month. The Summoner Appreciation week by Kabam has been met mostly with criticism by the MCOC community (including me) as lackluster. However, the Gwenpool event has been unanimously credited as an excellent all-time quality monthly event.

So, I’m asking the community, what would be reasonable compensation - honestly?

As to Kabam, I’m asking is the Summoner Appreciation week and the Gwenpool Event meant to be compensation or is that still coming?

Please discuss and keep the comments civil and engaging.

    When server crashes and emergency maint happen consistently during seasons for AQ and AW, it can really affect alliance's ability to earn rewards. It's more so am inconvenience as I don't think it often leads to total reward loss. I know there's times when you'll waste items, or lose arena points pretty badly.

    I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a fair compensation. At least more attention to their issues so that we don't feel like only the whales are important.

    It won't hurt Kabam's wallet to spring some shards and cats our way. Anything more than generic "we care" emails and ignored forums.

    They said before that the gwenpool event isn't part of the compensation, but in the summoner appreciation week thread 2 mods said the week is compensation for EVERYTHING that has been happening.

    Yes, the Summoner Appreciation week and the included Summoner Appreciation Gift are what we've been referring to in discussions about compensation.

    Which was clarified by another Mod. The Package is the Compensation. The Summoner Appreciation is the week-long Event.

    Actually, they have clarified on many occasions that this forum was not designed for that purpose. They intend it for us to discuss the game and help each other.
    (Not saying I think this is the way it should be....just stating what the moderators have said on many occasions)

    When you think of compensation, it’s gotta be enough to look like comp, but not enough to break kabams ability to make a profit on some kind of deal they have in the books for the following weeks.

    When you think of compensation, it’s gotta be enough to look like comp, but not enough to break kabams ability to make a profit on some kind of deal they have in the books for the following weeks.

    I think if they gave good compensation people would spend more, like seatin said when you feel appreciated you'll think about spending more on a game.

    4000 4* shards is worth 5000 units. Almost unlikely to be compensated this much.

    I am still wondering how to give a compensation towards a game that breaks the device (over-heating).

    @An_Asian_1 I think that's too much. Hard to say who lost what rewards during the outages though. Maybe 1/2 is fair and still puts them in a position to make money.

    I'm not sure what will be in the "gift packages" so it's hard to say if it's reasonable compensation. I really hope they're stuffed quite full. Lol

    Who would pay 5000 units for 2 4 stars? Maybe years ago. With how available they're now I don't see a problem with it.

    I’m still wondering why people whose device was overheating kept playing while they knew their device was overheating. The first time that happened to me would be the start of a hiatus until it was solved.

    They don't know me. They Flag my comments because they don't like what I say. I could care less. The Flag Function is used to notify Moderation if something breaks the rules. 5 Flags and it goes to Moderation for review. If it doesn't break the rules, nothing happens. The fact that it's abused so much is ridiculous and childish, to be honest. Doesn't bother me. I don't take it personally.

    I had to stopped. Found another device that could work and continue grind. :)

    It's been that way since the Forum opened. The subject of abusing them has come up many times. I'm sure they see it regardless when they monitor, but that's what happens.

    Every other game i’ve ever played, compensates you for every issue, Strikeforce as the closest example to this game, servers went down for a couple hours, we got 250 cores, captain america shards were meant to be doubled, but for 6 hours, they werent acting as they should so everyone got 10 shards, which is the max extra they could have got. Yet this game, they hand out no compensation ever. And for a month riddled with problems, they hand out the absolute bare minimum, and keep trying to sweep it under the rug. Because the big big spenders are still paying them, and until they stop. the game will never be ran properly.
