Cinematic Side Quest… and my problem with it

Disclaimer: I am in no way against legitimately free content with literal trash difficulty handing out arguably some of the most enticing rewards being fully formed 5, 4.2, and 4 Star crystals.
Everyone read the disclaimer? Good… now stop pretending to have read it and actually read it.
I’ve been playing since Groot. Masteries weren’t really a thing and calendars were a dream away and shards/fragments weren’t a thing. The only fully formed champs above 2* barring MASSIVE LUCK were from arena, and act 3 & 4 completion (including that pre-nerf juggernaut, and scaled regen on SIM as well as literally everyone else).
Why am I bringing this up? Because Kabam has no sense of power balance when it comes to rewards. All the 3-day events have higher rewards with almost no extra difficulty to get the max rewards, Alliance Quest and Glory both have a lot of people flooded as they have no more gold/iso to spend, and new players are being handed 5* left and right. Don’t believe me? 1v1 is currently popping out 2* champs (some actually really good like SL, IMIW, Sparky, Ultron etc...) allowing them to get everyone they need, expand their arena roster by a possible 20 count, and easily obtain 2 of both 3* and 4* champs and a 5*.
Plus another 75% of a 5* crystal
As a veteran I’m all for this but let’s be real, if they did this through our whole playtime im almost positive that 4*s would actually be about as valuable as a 3* prior to the 6* release. Oh hey kiddo I see your account is about 2-3 months old is that right? Well here’s a quick level up quest full of shards and wonder, 20 shiny 2* in the 1v1, and if you have any 3* 4/40 or 4* 3/30 (which let’s face it isn’t even anything anymore) you’ll get 1.75 5* champions. To the new guys this is a huge leap but for most of us getting High chances at Arena Fodder isn’t exactly the same as being carried through easily the first 2 chapters of act4 before that 5* needs to be ranked up to stay relevant that’s not quite the same is it?
It was months before seeing a 3* and that was a single duped wolverine and eventually a 4* iron fist who was ironically only duped AFTER the silent extinction of Negative Armor
I’m just saying that in a case like this maybe prestige needs to be implemented to establish a bell curve of progress cause despite this being a great event quest… given the rewards and ease of it (this could easily have been an easier celebrity challenge given the rewards tbh) it just seems like Kabam just plain doesn’t understand the progression aspect of what amounts to an online competitive grind game

“The game’s changing, it’s time we start changing too”
Yes, the champs are easy to get now, but they are as easy for YOU as for everyone else.
Stop complaining and don’t start with that prestige BS.
This is the evolution of all online games. Everything has become easier to achieve. People just have to deal with it.
That happened to me too. I had played around 40 matches without getting him, and then from the next 10 I got him 4 times.
Keep doing it. You'll get him
1. I have been playing since Week 1
2. It absolutely sucked with how long it took to get new characters
3. I am glad that new players are able to progress faster than we did at the start
4. Because it's a freaking mobile game that is going to end
BACK IN MY DAY..........
Been playing for what seems ever. Things changed. Other games change as well over time.
Your disclaimer is quite the bell-ended one. You utterly insult people, then expect them to take you seriously, when all you can do is piss and moan about the game having less content (and immediately connected with it, progressing options) when you started playing.
I’m glad with all the ways progression can be made, and I most definitely will not be negative about a celibratory event that was meant as a handout to players. Because that is what this event was about. A present to the players. Look hard at that salt shaker in front of you.
