Crystal wager arena

I believe that an additional feature to the arena would make for great competition. The feature that I have in mind could be a whole new event by itself. My idea is to have the ability to wager crystal shards. Similar to the way there is a "find summoner" option in features like infinity dungeons, apply this to the beginning of arenas to match two summoners with equal strength and average points per arena. For example players that have an average of 800k points in 3 star arena and similar overall strength would be paired, and whoever gets the most points in the end of the arena would win the wager. For 3 star arena, only 4 star shards could be wagered, 5 star shards for the 4 star arenas, and 6 star shards for the 5 star arena. Of course, there is the issue of players using units to refresh their champs to obtain more points, but in order to make this feature about skill and not about how much units can be used, the points gained through refreshed champs do not apply to the wager. So, there could be points used overall, and also points counted separately that meet the criteria to apply towards the wager. For example, if a summoner obtains a total of 150k points all without refreshing champs with units, and then if they did want to refresh champs and got an additional 100k points, the wager points would remain at 150k and the normal arena points would rise to 250k. Now this is just the way I am imagining it, so in order to make this discussion more productive rather than full of criticism, I would appreciate suggestions on how this wager system should be implemented. Should it apply to arenas, or be a whole new feature on its own? I would appreciate comments that build off of my idea. Just saying that it wont work and stating the problems it has is not as good as saying how this idea would be better implemented.

I think it should be a feature on it's own. Separating the refresh points from the others would be difficult. If it were it's own feature they could set it up like a one on one AW. Each player place defenders and chooses attackers. It would be easier to set up and it would put them on more even ground. After all, some players have a lot more time to play than others.
