Looking for alliance

]I try to be a daily user but I have a demanding job and little personal time.
I have progressed to level 40 just tonight but I have been struggling heavily mostly with no help from the trash alliance I joined before I ever knew anything about alliances.
I don't know how to calculate my base score or how to use the calculator I have seen demonstrated on some videos that I can't find.
I need someone to help me learn this game, there is so much I don't know and I can't spend 20 minutes watching a video that only has 15-20 seconds of information in it that relates to where I am at right now.
Please help.

    Just look up Dorky Diggity Dave Training Series Videos and should have all the info you need to go from basics to semi-advanced fighting.
