Why do gambits kinetic charges take so long to get?

I'm guessing they are .5 seconds longer per charge but that's not in his description or frankly necessary. It should be .5 seconds per charge and not .5, 1, 1.5, 2, etc. I have a R4 5* gambit and even with 10 prowess buffs he does not do anything insane...

It says in his description that the charges will take longer and longer to get.

"Gambit charges his weapons while holding block, gaining a kinetic charge for every .5 seconds he isn't attacked".

    Where's the longer part?

I agree, description doesn't say that they take longer.

    It is in his spotlight.

    Ante-Up

Blocking: Gambit charges his weapons while holding Block, gaining a Kinetic Charge for every 0.5 seconds he isn’t attacked. Whenever Gambit is struck by a combo-ending attack, he has a 50% chance to Fold and lose all his Kinetic Charges.
The amount of time needed to build up Kinetic charges increases based on how many charges Gambit already has.

Ah yeah that last bit isn't on the champion description. I don't understand why he needs that lol. That means it takes 5 seconds of somehow not even getting TOUCHED for that last charge.

Kabaam comes up with some really cool mechanics quite often. It feels like they overdue counterbalancing them in a way to prevent them from being op though.
