AW matchmaking woes

Is it me or is the AW matchmaking algorithm still broken? i have no idea how my alliance whom barely have any 3/45 5*s and 4/40 4*s, keep facing alliances who have more than 5 members with at least 4/55 5*s and that all 10 per BG have 5/50 4*s. like seriously, war is getting annoying.

    My gold 1 and 18m rating ally failed to find opponent on day 1.

    After over 24h of searching, we were matched with a silver 2 ally with 3m rating.

    Our defenders on node 1 had over 6 kills, they couldnt kill 5 defenders of ours
