Name changes - did I miss this little nugget of info?

It seems Kabam did some purging of old, inactive accounts of their names.

I was finally able to get the name I originally wanted 3 years ago. I tried again a year and a half ago, but it still wasn't available.

Did they say they were doing this?

    Maybe the guy that use the name you wanted change his name. I checked names and they still not aviable same as years ago si i dont believe they erase old accounts or their names.

    I checked old alliances that i joined. Most of them abandoned for thousands of days and lots of member with no name. So yeah probably kabam purged their names. If you want to check search for NyanCat with tag 2909.
