Announcing: Occult Labs

The Symbiote Supreme has commandeered M.O.D.O.K.’s old Laboratory and he has been transmuting the experiments into more difficult rituals using his sinister magic!

Test your luck and try your best fighters against a number of completely random Opponents, all with their own randomized Buffs! Beware, Symbiote Supreme, intrigued to push you further this time, has set it so the amount of random Buffs can also vary! Will you luck out on a usually tricky Opponent with only a single random Buff, or will the seemingly easy Opponent have the power of 6 random Buffs on their side? Remember to utilize the Randomizer to re-roll the buffs on the Opponent if you are not confident with the results; although, do keep in mind that the Randomizer will not re-roll the amount of fights on a single fight.

The Lab will remain open for rituals between October 3rd at 10 AM PDT until November 7th at 9 AM PST.

Occult Lab will Feature a Few Changes in this Round:

Duration/Frequency
- 24 hours cycles instead of 12
- 2 entry limit per day, not restricted by difficulty

Auto Fight is back in the Labs, and you can use it if you so wish.

Regardless of difficulty, each fight will have a chance to have between 1 to 6 randomized buffs.

As with last time, ALL the Champions will be randomized on every node. This list has been updated to include Champions that have been released since the last M.O.D.O.K.’s Lab.

Were the Random Buffs altered by the Symbiote Supreme’s magic?

Yes actually. The list of Buffs have been slimmed down significantly, and includes a few that were not in the last Lab. He has also removed the HP and Attack Boost Pools and replaced them with a single global buff per difficulty, so the challenge faced will be solely with the other buffs on the fight! These global buffs are as follows:

Easy Global Buff - Iso-Infused (+25% Attack and Health)

Medium Global Buff - Iso-Infused (+50% Attack and Health)

Hard Global Buff - Champion Boost (+100% Attack and Health)

Expert Global Buff - Champion Boost (+200% Attack and Health)

Epic Global Buff - Champion Boost (+200% Attack and Health)

General Buff Pool

Consists of a more refined list of buffs from last time. This list is largely made up of buffs that you would see in a monthly quest, except for:

- Buffs that only work on one specific Character and Class specific Buffs (such as War Machine’s “Second Line” Buff or “Mystic Wrath”)
- Additional HP or Attack Buffs outside of the global boosts mentioned above.

Here’s Where You Can Get More Precious Randomizers:

- 8x in a welcome message on October 3rd, when Occult Lab goes live.
- 8x per day in the Game Store for 2500 Gold each.
- A quest chest with 1 or 2 that can be claimed with every successful completion of an Occult Lab (4x per 24 hours, maximum)

No energy cost but LIMITED ENTRY!

It still costs 0 energy per step to traverse the Occult Lab, however, you will only be able to enter the Lab a total of 2 times every 24 hours.

IF YOU ENTER A QUEST AND QUIT OUT, YOU WILL LOSE ALL WITHHELD ITEMS AND YOUR ENTRY WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. This means if you enter, decide you want to play another mode, and quit, you’ll lose that entry. If you run out of entries you will have to wait until your entries reset to enter again.

REWARDS - Symbiote Supreme’s Generosity

Below is a list of what you can expect as a rewards for each completion of Occult Lab. Keep in mind that since this is 1 path, completion will also equal exploration. Also keep in mind this is per instance, meaning rewards can be earned a maximum of 2 times a day for the duration of the event.

I've played occult labs 4 times total and after I beat a lower difficulty it says 0 completed? Why and what am I doing wrong? Please advise.

@Kabam Miike @Kabam Vydious This event's difficulty needs to be adjusted. it's ridiculous for time and items needed for us to play twice in epic difficulty twice a day. Please be reasonable on how we should be playing your game, if you keep putting up stupid events to burn people out. Very soon you are going to lose more and more players.

For me the event is nice and smooth, don t think everybody has to do epic, the rewards are really nice everywhere( the luck thing is not that great, but evan the minimum you get is really good) I mean it s only 12 fights a day...enjoying this kinda of events. Props to kabam for this one!

It’s too random, shocker!

One epic was not bad, another one put 5-6 buffs on every single enemy. Not enough randomizers to even make it possible without spending an inordinate amount on the piddling rewards. 250 shards and a 3k basic iso... woo!

Doing master I got t2a 3x and a sig stone crystal every time. Clear choice. Less stress, more fun and similar rewards. That slim 1k t5b chance just is not worth it to me,

I managed to pull 1k t5b from my 4th epic crystal, so it's definitely in there. Wish I knew what the odds were of that. Not sure if I'm just really lucky, or the odds aren't bad.

The difficulty does not need to be decreased. The point of increasing difficulties is that not everyone can do the hardest level.

Some of us like it the way it is. That's why there are multiple difficulties. That's how you make something for everyone. If they made it easier it would be one more chore to grind rewards rather than a fun challenge for a lot of players. If they made it easier and added another difficulty the same people who are complaining now would be complaining about the new difficulty. It's OK if you can't complete the hardest level. Making the hardest level easier is not a good solution.

@war10cked you can play the same difficulty twice for the same rewards. Do the hardest level you can do twice or try a harder difficulty and drop down for the second run if you can't complete.

Between my two accounts currently at for epic crystal:
9/10 250 5* shards
1/10 1k t2a

Debating why I waste my time with epic and just do master since same odds of 5* sig there which is worth just as much as 250 5* shards which seems to have stupidly high drop rate in crystal

Also when will you fix bug that if you use dice and go out of the map for any reason and come back it resets back to first set? Is this intended? It was widely reported last round of labs.

Please post odds of drops of the crystals so players who need to balance their time or items and judge if epic is worth the effort versus master.

Just do epic if it s not an insane cost, compare by minimals...in epic you get at least 500 5* shards, playing it twice.

I passed the complexity of 3 levels of difficulty of the Occult Labs. And it seems to me that the enemies have gone too far with the power.

To be frank, occult is serious garbage. this game is to make expert people more powerful its not useful for average people. That's why i hate kabam sometime and there political money grabbing moves.

Occult lab is a failure. My alliance and I have been doing epic difficult every day upto now and everyone has got nothing but 250 shards and one 5* sig stone. Not once anyone of us pulled something different. The time + difficulty is not worth the rewards.

@PrinceIndia it's not a money grab if you don't spend lol. They gave you a number of options. It isn't worth spending on for the chance at better rewards. I've done 2 runs of epic every single day up until today. Couldn't get past a Korg with absurd buffs. Used all my rerolls to no avail. I've had hard runs and easy runs. Could've used revives from stash but I'm saving those for LOL so only did one epic run today. No big deal and no money grab lol.

@TaimurKhan it isn't a failure just because you don't like it. Lots of people do. I've had 1k t5 basics and 3k t2 alphas plus the 5* shards. Others have done better. And even if I got the bad rewards it's been fun. Feels like a success to me.

If it’s not the dungeon crystal it’s a bad 6*. If it’s not a bad 6* it’s bad lab crystals. It’s just such a drain. I understand they’re trying to do compulsion gambling or whatever to keep you buying and coming back but after a while it just gets really old. 250 5* shards twice a day everyday is meh. Especially when you see others pulling T5B and T2A frags constantly.

I agree, I have had relatively good luck with the epic room crystals, so I can't complain too much about that, however, my RNG lately has been some of the worst I've ever had. Last four 5* pulls have been Rhino, HB, Colossus, and Hood... On top of that, all of my 6* pulls have been awful. It gets so depressing when you get on the bad side of RNG, I can really understand why people would want to quit... I really just have to keep telling myself "next crystal." But who knows when I will actually pull someone worthwhile.

General consensus is, it is. It failed to intrigue populace. And the number of people getting better rewards is very small. Rather than RNG bs, kabam could have given the rewards as they have done in other formats. Some people will feel deprived when the see other pulling better stuff. It's a flop idea.

Played epic first couple days, then dropped down one level. Haven't gotten a single 5star shard out of 2 crystals per day since event started. Nothing but t4 cats for me. 😠😠😠

I think the game should have something that everyone finds challenging. How much fun would it be if everything was easy?

Many people have posted that they like it lol. It has multiple difficulties so that everyone can play it. If everything were tailored to "average" players it would get pretty boring for a lot of the player base.
